Searching for some old footage of myself

Hi everyone

I’m not sure if this is the right forum to be asking this question? But here goes.

I was a young amateur boxer back in the 80s and I know my very first fight was recorded onto VHS video by a then professional photographer.

At the time my parents didn’t have a video player so I did not purchase the tape as I didn’t think video footage would really take off...how wrong could I be!!

The fight took place at the Galtymore night club in Cricklewood/Kilburn probably in 1982/3?
And at the time I was around 14 years old.
If anyone has any recollection of these ametuer boxing evenings or even still has some old footage of them, I would love to hear from you.

Amateur stuff wasnt really my thing unless it was highlighted on tv such as Whimpy finals or olympics.

This one is like a needle in a haystack im affraid. You say a pro photographer took the footage. Search Eric Guy on here he was a cameraman so he could well be a starting point.

I'm pretty sure that Eric Guy started filming in the early 90's.....

I started filming in 1987, but the amateurs started in 1991

Eric, do you have a copy of the fight between Steffy Bull and Dean Pithie? It took place on the Full Monty show in Sheffield, many moons ago, when Calzaghe beat Eubank and Naz put on a masterclass in the main event.
