If they want to sell tickets, it needs to be an interesting opponent. I'll be there if no matter, but most fans aren't as daft as me.

Flanagan vs. Hooker has been confirmed for the undercard.. Flanagan is a local, but he's a shÏt ticket seller.. Might help ship a further 500 tickets.

That would be the right thing..wesshaw1985 wrote: ↑13 Apr 2018, 12:18 I hope W@rren does the right thing and has the World Title fight go on last...
But we both know, this event is all about Fury.. He'll go on last.. Even if it is a 10 rounder or whatever it is..
BTW, how many rounds is it scheduled?

If it's Safety Pin that would be a let down.
I mean I'm not expecting him to jump in with Povetkin, but I'd rather it be someone different.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - June 9th 2018
he already beat johnson, even though i understand a soft opponent that would be a letdown
maybe rudenko? been to the uk twice before and fought hughie at course. right type of opponent in that smaller and not big pop. likely to give rounds, although ive seen him stink it out in survival mode.

It won’t be anyone with any sort of threat.
Even in his pomp he never fought against anyone who brought any obvious threat to him up until Wlad. They were always considerably smaller and not known for power.
His comeback fights will be the same.

How dare a man defend himself inside his own home at 1 in the morning from a career criminal and yes I'd rip the floral tribute down too, one because he doesn't deserve a tribute and two they look tacky, I've already told my wife when I inevitably die in a high speed motorbike accident I don't want flowers and teddies tied to a lamp post save the money for the wake instead and get fornicating trollied.dirk2686 wrote: ↑13 Apr 2018, 05:49The constant desperation to equate Anthony 'sold a bit of weed' Joshua with Tyson 'gays should be killed' Fury is hilarious.mickey1975 wrote: ↑13 Apr 2018, 05:35Do you speak for the public now? And yeah, loads of people hate travellers. Look at the reaction this week after that old bloke killed that gypsy in his house. The bloke has been hailed a hero and the dead bloke's family are painted as scum for sticking some flowers up. Just look at the comments sections mate. You're kidding nobody if you think they're broadly seen as anything else.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - June 9th 2018
After his first one he should probably case some of Wilder and Joshua's opponents, specifically the ones they had troible with like Takam and Szpilka.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - June 9th 2018
Joshua didn't have any trouble with Takam. He won a completely one sided fight, bust both his eyes wide open, put him on his arse. At no point in that fight was Joshua in trouble.
Shit stoppage yes, trouble not a chance.

Yep. He cruised to the win, as he did against Parker in reality.
Joshua is underrated. He outboxes Takam completely, then eases past Parker, no real risks taken and comfortable throughout. Then we have people saying he had trouble against them.
Fury squeezes past Wlad and a year after the event it’s called a masterclass and a domination, and it’s all about how he toyed with him etc
It helps build the fight no doubt and it’s good to have people talking about it, but fvck me, some bollocks gets spouted.

vs. James Toney for the WBF Heavyweight Title?
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - June 9th 2018
He was certainly winning, but he gave Joshua as good a fight as anyone other than Wlad and Parker, Wlad is obviously out, and Parker probably going to want to spend a bit building back up, so Takam is the best option to chase Joshua.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - June 9th 2018
After the first one, recent common opponents against the top guys would be a great idea as mentioned above
Dimitrenko, Price, Molina, Takam, loser of Duahapas and Miller etc
Something like first fight ( literally have no clue how low they will aim ) then Price/Dimitrenko followed by Duahapas/Molina.
He’s right back in the mix then

Takam won 1 round at best.BitPlayer wrote: ↑14 Apr 2018, 03:46He was certainly winning, but he gave Joshua as good a fight as anyone other than Wlad and Parker, Wlad is obviously out, and Parker probably going to want to spend a bit building back up, so Takam is the best option to chase Joshua.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - June 9th 2018
I was too involved when I watched it to give a real score, but the official scorecards for Parker Joshua was definitely way off, Joshua probably was the right winner but still it wasn't that one sided. The commentators were giving him credit for coming forward without punching, and getting hit, at one point.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑14 Apr 2018, 03:35Yep. But neither Takam nor Parker were half as good as Wlad anyway. Joshua getting knocked down and getting outboxed for a lot of the fight (when Wlad was even older and rusty) shows that. Plus Fury gets credit for having to go to hostile territory rather than having everything set up for him.

Please tell me who Fury should fight to chase Joshua then.samwbr wrote: ↑14 Apr 2018, 03:51Takam won 1 round at best.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - June 9th 2018
Everyone is chasing Joshua.
Fury is back for the money, he’s admitted as much. He can take hundreds of thousands against most others, or he can chase £5m+ against Joshua.
Joshua earns £10m+ against anyone. He’s the lottery ticket every heavyweight is, or at least, should be chasing.

He doesn't need to fight AJs old opponents to get to the AJ payday.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑14 Apr 2018, 03:58 Everyone is chasing Joshua.

AJ is kinda like the FMJ.. He can guarantee career-high purses for a lot of boxers today.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑14 Apr 2018, 03:58 Everyone is chasing Joshua.

Nothing too strenuous for his return fight.
Decent fight as co-main to Flanagan vs. Hooker...
I wish we could forget lenroy Thomas...hes really nothing and the dave allen fights were dire.
Fury wants a tall, floppy and uncoordinated dude with a glass chin who will go crazy for a couple of rounds and then get spectacularly ko'd .....

I hope for his sake, and everyone else’s, Tyson doesn’t come back, fights barely top 50 heavyweights for 3 fights then assumes it’s enough to get him 50% of a Joshua fight or put him in good shape to beat Joshua. He needs tests if he wants to actually win that fight imowesshaw1985 wrote: ↑14 Apr 2018, 04:02He doesn't need to fight AJs old opponents to get to the AJ payday.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑14 Apr 2018, 03:58 Everyone is chasing Joshua.

He might be wildly overrating his pulling power which might lead to any Joshua fight not happening maybe. He always struggled to sell big numbers.
