Below is the official release and ticket information for May 5th:

Undefeated World Middleweight Champion and boxing superhero GENNADY "GGG" GOLOVKIN is saving Cinco De Mayo for boxing fans!

Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs), from Karaganda, Kazakhstan, boxing's longest-reigning world champion, returns to the ring, Saturday, May 5, against two-time world title challenger VANES "THE NIGHTMARE " MARTIROSYAN (36-3-1, 21 KOs), from Glendale, Calif.

The fight will headline an exciting world championship card which will take place, under the stars, at StubHub Center, in Carson, Calif. It's the first time Golovkin has fought in Southern California in over two years.

Golovkin has proved himself to be a sterling gate attraction in his previous three fights in the Southland, selling out The Fabulous Forum twice, in 2016 and 2015, and setting the all time attendance record for boxing at StubHub Center in 2014.

Golovkin vs. Martirosyan will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing beginning at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Not only will this mark Golovkin's first non-pay-per-view fight since 2016, if successful, it will also be his 20th consecutive and record-tying middleweight title defense.

Golovkin and Martirosyan boast a combined record of 73-3-2 (54 KOs) -- a winning percentage of 94% with close to 3/4 of those victories coming by way of knockout.

Golovkin had originally been scheduled to defend his WBC, WBA, IBF and IBO middleweight titles on May 5 in a rematch against Saul "Canelo "Alvarez, in the biggest and most-anticipated event on the 2018 boxing calendar. But that fight was canceled when Alvarez withdrew after twice testing positive for the banned substance Clenbuterol

Promoted by GGG promotions, in association with Don King Productions, and sponsored by Tecate, Chivas Regal, Jordan and Hublot, tickets to the Golovkin vs. Martirosyan world championship event go on sale Today! Wednesday, April 18, at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT.

Priced at $750, $500, $300, $200, $100 and $50, tickets may be purchased online at AXS.com, by phone at (888) 9AXS-TIX, or by visiting the StubHub Center box office.

I'm not as pissed off about this fight as a lot of people are, I'm glad to see Golovkin out again and that his camp hasn't gone to waste, Alvarez has been nothing but a pain in the tits for him, a draw in the first fight wasn't the worst result ive seen but i thought Golovkin won it by 4 rounds and THAT scorecard was unforgivable, then for Canelo to fail a test and the aftermath from his team has been disgraceful

But as i said at least Golovkin gets out again and is Martirosyan any worse that Golovkin/Brook or Alvarez/Khan? I hadn't realised Martirosyan hadn't fought since losing his rematch to Lara in 2016, lets hope he's in shape, i had Lara nicking the fight by a round, if not for the BS point deduction for Martirosyan i would've had it another draw, Martirosyan has only lost to slick guys like Lara, Andrade and Jermell, Golovkin isn't exactly slick but he is clever and the performance against Canelo suggests he isn't as faded as i thought he was

Martirosyan is tall and quite rangy he might try to box Golovkin and to use quick feet to keep away from allowing Golovkin to get close and nail him to the body, if he can keep things on the outside i can see it being a tough night for Golovkin and maybe he might get a gift from the judges this time??

I do wonder if Martirosyan can box 12 rounds without getting into a shootout though, if he does Golovkin will be too strong and punch through him

Logic says Golovkin routine win but I'm calling upset

Knowing GGG, he'll want to put on somewhat of a 'big drama show' and let the fight go a few rounds and do that thing where he lets his opponent hit him clean.. maybe.. who knows.

What I find rather odd and a little funny..

Box-Nation are showing more than HBO are showing..

I believe HBO are only showing:
Cecilia BRAEKHUS vs. Kalis REIS
10 x 2 Minute Rounds: The women's Welterweight Championship

Follows

Gennady GOLOVKIN vs. Vanes MARTIROSYAN
12 x 3 Minute Rounds: The WBC and WBA World Middleweight Title
That's it.. As it's starting quite late there. 11pm..

I'm watching GGG here in the UK.. I'm going to guess that GGG fight will be around 5am.. As California fights are usually around that time here.

Golovkin looked back to his best, people can say what they want about Martirosyan being a SWW etc but he's tough and usually quite hard to hit clean but Golovkin blew him away, I thought Martirosyan nicked the 1st and I got a wee bit excited about my prediction of an upset but Golovkin looked in the mood in the 2nd and just took Martirosyan apart, the variety and accuracy to deck Martirosyan was top drawer, he looked mean in there

Loved that performance me, he took a few solid shots as he's always done whenever anyones been prepared to let their hands go but the killer instinct looked as good as ever
