Frampton's won this going away but there's a reason he stopped charging forward after the 7th & I'm shocked people haven't really seen it.
Frampton is beatable in exchanges and Donaire was good at making room for his uppercuts and pretty dangeously getting leverage on his left hook but didn't land it. Good idea for Frampton to abandon that but Donaire should have forced Frampton to have to come forward and fight like that instead of plodding forward into pot shots all night.

Or is he going to milk being a (interim) world champion?
I think Valdez is a horrible style for him.

He said he wouldn't consider himself a world champion after this so I imagine he'll want Valdez.

119-110 Frampton for me, really good performance, one of his best he controlled Donaire from the outside with the jab , especially the later the fight went, Frampton really poured it on Donaire in the early stages, he was bullying him up on the ropes but he was open to Donaire's uppercuts and he was hurt in that 7th from one, credit to his conditioning though because he recovered well and finished the round on top

In the second half of the fight you seen Frampton choosing to box Donaire more and it wasn't really a contest as Donaire looked a bit clueless as Frampton nailed him with jabs and quick straight right hands, the straight right worked well for him tonight

Donaire showed a champions heart in the last couple of rounds he definitely stunned Frampton in the 11th with 3/4 clean shots, Frampton took them well and closed the show well

Great to see Frampton back to his best he looked sharp, fit, never looked tired and maintained a good pace, Donaire is nowhere near the fighter he once was but he gave Magdaleno a hard fight not too long ago

Yup, good summation. Then again, Donaire has never had any ring IQ (as those in the know have alluded to in the build-up to this) & he was never suddenly gonna develop it at 35.

Decision was just.
Frampton won clean, he got clipped in the fight though.
He comes out ahead but not by much.

A one-sided fight totally controlled by Frampton, as expected.
