Yet again Broners work rate, or lack of it, let's him down. I thought it could've went either way in the end tbh. Better quality from Broner, quantity from Vargas. Draw seems fair enough.

I thought 115-113 Vargas. I always figure I could be a round off, up or down, when I usually score. Everybody sees things differently. So 116-112 could easily work for Vargas and I could also accept a draw. I can't see 7 rounds to give Broner. Anybody having him win by more than that is absurd....

My biggest issue was not ONE judge had the fight for Vargas?!? As usual, Broner is being milked in close fights to continue to generate money, so they won't give him a loss.

The draw was fair.

Broner won that fight easily. He was a victim of his own dislikeability and burned out hype. IF he was a more likeable fighter who still had the hype around him that he had early in his career i think most people would have that wide for Broner. I thought he schooled Vargas. Vargas did score a lot of body shots, but to what end? It's not the amatuers, he had no effect on Broner who looked like he barely broke sweat, while Vargas was blowing out his arse. He got given a lesson in counter punching and ate loads of hard left hooks and over the top rights on his way in. I liked Vargas' jabbing when he got it working but he strayed from that game plan in effort to be the aggressor, but his aggression was wholy ineffective. Broner is a class above Vargas, like him or not.

i dont mind broner...he certanly isnt a fghter i hate and i feel hes been underrated at times after first being overrated. and im not a vargas fan at all.

still i had it for vargas and though i can see a draw i felt if anyone deserved the w it was vargas

He answered Broner whenever he tried to let his hands go.
Broner typically showing off to the crowd more than trying to win fights.

Broner is a level below the best, and we don't need a 4th humiliating example to confirm it. Old Pacquiao used Vargas just to shake off the cobwebs, high priced sparring a tune up, and had no trouble at all cakewalk. AB was fortunate to get a draw, most thought he lost. I think he wasted potential during prime time of his career, finally committing fully to the sport, and realizing he ain't gonna make 140 ain't gonna beat anyone tops at 147 so fight the limited opponents like Vargas and keep the fantasy of being great alive. Spence hopefully gets the chance to spark him out again someday.
