Re: Lewis Ritson vs. Paul Hyland Jr
Hard to look past a Ritson KO.
I would ideally like to see how he handles someone with a bit of power.

Same mate. That wee dude who beat Mitchell and lost to Crolla would be dangerous early and a decent opponent later in the year?PredatorHayds wrote: ↑26 Mar 2018, 09:51 Hard to look past a Ritson KO.

You're probably right. I think he was getting on a bit when he fought Crolla as well. Don't even know if he's still going.
Re: Lewis Ritson vs. Paul Hyland Jr
I'd go for the Masher/Coyle winner after Hyland. Ritson only had his first British title fight at the end of last year so doesn't need to be moved too quickly. Maybe do those 2 and then look at where somebody like Ricky Burns is at by the end of the year?
Re: Lewis Ritson vs. Paul Hyland Jr
If Lewis Ritson wins this fight he will win the Lonsdale belt outright in the shortest time. Anyone know who holds the record for winning a Lonsdale belt outright in the shortest time ? Answer on Saturday.
Re: Lewis Ritson vs. Paul Hyland Jr
Ritson by ko
Re: Lewis Ritson vs. Paul Hyland Jr
agree, looks a beast so far but his 3 opponents were all rather light hittersPredatorHayds wrote: ↑26 Mar 2018, 09:51 Hard to look past a Ritson KO.

barret 1 stoppage win in 19 fights
murray 10 in 26
cardle 7 in 25
he does look hittable so interesting to see how he takes a dig vs a solid hitter. i did think cardle stung him a bit.

Re: Lewis Ritson vs. Paul Hyland Jr
This then the Dodd/Coyle winner! Defo no need to rush him, see how he deals with these 2 and more on from there

It was only 2 defences when Ryan did it all. Them years ago its now 3 defences so. Would set a new record josh wale was on for setting it but as if he was to win his next fight but as picked up an injury so the fight as been set back til josh recovers
Re: Lewis Ritson vs. Paul Hyland Jr
Josh should give a rematch to Jamie Wilson be clearly lost that fight and go a complete gift.. Any real fighter would put the record straight there..dhb-raging bull wrote: ↑26 Mar 2018, 17:34It was only 2 defences when Ryan did it all. Them years ago its now 3 defences so. This is a thread about ritson so no point turning it to a thread about wale I was just regarding him about how he could av Been fastest outright winner since the days when it was 2 defences wale vs Wilson was good close fight what could have gone either way it went the way off josh and since then he's made 2 good defences where as Wilson hasn't fought boxing keeps moving if wilson wants another crack at the title he's going to have to start having fights to get himself back in the mix he's definitely a talented fighter and could be back fighting for British or commenwealth titles but it's wasn't a robbery it was a close fight that could have gone either waydaviddee wrote: ↑26 Mar 2018, 18:22Josh should give a rematch to Jamie Wilson be clearly lost that fight and go a complete gift.. Back to ritson I hope he does go and won outright in quick succession he's a cracking fighter and his last 3 fights have been exciting to watch
Re: Lewis Ritson vs. Paul Hyland Jr
Only you guys think it was close which just shows how diluded people are in boxing when it comes to their own fighters but it is what it is.. I would hate to be a champion down to default knowing I lost a fight but hey in life we are all different.. I don’t think Ritson will have too much trouble in his next few fights.. Carries too much power for the likes of Hyland Jnr, Dodd and Coyle.. I’m hearing Cordina May be an option that would be a good fight.. Ritson has the capabilities to win a European title maybe even a world title.. He’s still young and if managed correctly will do well... If Crolla can win a world title then so can Ritsondhb-raging bull wrote: ↑27 Mar 2018, 04:07This is a thread about ritson so no point turning it to a thread about wale I was just regarding him about how he could av Been fastest outright winner since the days when it was 2 defences wale vs Wilson was good close fight what could have gone either way it went the way off josh and since then he's made 2 good defences where as Wilson hasn't fought boxing keeps moving if wilson wants another crack at the title he's going to have to start having fights to get himself back in the mix he's definitely a talented fighter and could be back fighting for British or commenwealth titles but it's wasn't a robbery it was a close fight that could have gone either waydaviddee wrote: ↑26 Mar 2018, 18:22Josh should give a rematch to Jamie Wilson be clearly lost that fight and go a complete gift.. Lewis Ritson vs. Paul Hyland Jr. Likely, 6/16 at Metro Radio Arena
Ritson will return to his home city of Newcastle for his next outing, with promoter Eddie Hearn planning a card for June 16 at the Metro Radio Arena.
Paul Hyland Jr., the mandatory challenger to the domestic crown in the nine-stone nine division as well as the current IBF European champion, is likely to be the man in the opposite corner to 'The Sandman' and he will be looking to upset the applecart and stop the momentum of Ritson in its tracks.
The show, which will be screened by Sky Sports, is also set to feature Josh Kelly, the former Team GB Olympian, providing he can get past Carlos Molina on the Anthony Joshua vs. Joseph Parker undercard and wins the WBA International welterweight title on Saturday at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Josh Kelly v Frankie Gavin will top that show imo.
