If Daniel Jacobs beats Maciej Sulecki, then he becomes the WBA’s mandatory challenger.

This means that GGG will have to perform a mandatory defence against the likes of Sergiy Derevyanchenko (IBF), Jermall Charlo (WBC) or Daniel Jacobs (WBA) in the near future.

Those are three really good opponents and fights I’d love to watch.

That being said, I strongly suspect that after engaging in the Martirosyan mismatch, GGG will only be interested in facing Canelo or Saunders, before announcing his retirement.

I don’t expect to see the Kazakh engaging in high-risk low-return bouts against the likes of Derevyanchenko, Charlo or Jacobs when he’ll be approaching 37 years of age.
