Time stamped to the pertinent moment.

It wasn't a historically important fight, but I always got a kick out of "That whale was just harpooned".

One of my favorite calls is during the 1st Gatti vs Ivan Robinson fight.

When Ivan Robinson is teeing off on Gatti, and Jim or somebody says "In the past this is when Gatti's been dangerous"

And then he rocks Robinson in the midst of a hellacious barrage to the call of Larry Merchant saying "Look...Can you believe this guy? Can you believe Gatti?"

Also. I have to give him credit for this one though I'm not normally a fan of Bob Sheridan. I prefer his call of the Buster Douglas KO of Mike Tyson over the HBO call.

"HUGE UPPERCUT! LOOK AT THIS! MIKE TYSON'S DOWN! The count is 8....9....HE'S NOT GONNA MAKE IT! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! UNBELIEVABLE! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!"

I like that call because it doesn't sound like a Sports announcer trying to make a moment dramatic. It sounds like a man who is truly shocked by what he's seeing, and I think it sounds that way because that's what it was.

Cosell was an exciting announcer. They don't have good boxing announcers like that any more. I can't stand listening to their contemporary announcing teams inanely babbling on and on instead of just reporting on the action in the ring like the great announcers used to do.
