It is unlikely that this purse would remain the same as TV and PPV figures would diminish somewhat I would assume. Still if this is the case Hatton only has himself to blame for getting tied up with a pack of fools and letting King control the shots, whether they realise it or not..
On another note, I must apologise to eatsleepandtalkshite as it now appears the WBU have received a letter from Robert Waterman cancelling his £5k pledge to keep the WBU bauble and as a result Hatton is officially stripped. So that's two down one to go!
Hatton without a title is a seriously devalued commodity and I doubt whether the likes of Mayweater or the big US names would bother with him with the risks involved if they have nothing to gain.
Back to my earlier point, why lose three belts, move up a weight and fight a non-title fight agsint a World Champion and risk everything for no gain. What is the point other than financial gain. Hardly the stuff of legacy and legend.
Ricky really needs to get a grip on his dad and evaluate where he may end up if all this goes wrong. It appears Ricky himself and maybe his brother are the only one's in the camp with the slightest idea about the business they are in.
Risks are great for the Sport and the afns but in this case I really don't see the point or see where this is going.
