Promoting

Post by fox »

I really feel for these top promoters putting on multiple fights on the night. I had my first crack at promoting pro boxing on Saturday night and I only had the one pro fight with a dozen corporate fights.
Well my main event and only pro fight fell through less than 24hours before the event due to the visiting boxer not having his bloods done correctly and only giving his paperwork to the supervisor at the weigh in. Lesson learnt there.
Luckily I got a replacement and the show went ahead.

That was my first pro fight. I have done some amateurs before but first crack at the pros. First pro fight in my home town of Warwick for 75 years. Last one was 1943.

Not sure mate. No pros here in my hometown now so I would have to have a crack with visiting boxers. Thinking about going back to judging and not allowed to promote and corner boys as well as being an official.
