Stuey Hall v Gav Mac - June 16th

Post by Crazyboy »

hey all, just wondered what your thoughts were on the fight...

June 16th see's a great event in Newcastle and I honestly think this could be the fight of the night.

I genuinely can't wait for it and as a friend of Stuey I obviously want him to win but Gavin is on a good run and will be coming off the back of a great win also and his confidence will be high.

Just interested to hear your thoughts....may the best man win!

One of the reasons I'm considering going to this. Really solid card IMO. Fancy McDonnell on points but Hall will make it a hard night as he always does.

Last last last chance saloon for world hounours for Hall...... Gavin should be the favourite, but I actually give Hall more of a chance here than I did for the Butler rematch..... styles and all.

Hall will make you struggle if you don't have workrate and fitness. Those two things are McDonnell's strongest features. I'd be aghast at anything other than a McDonnell UD.

Wait until Nic hears that!
Stuey is very game and tough, it’s a decent trade fight.

hmm - jameswilson

Stuey (and he would admit this himself) - struggles against the trickier fighters (Butler/ Haskins) but loves a good scrap with someone straight up and I thing Gav mac fits the bill perfectly for that, like his brother did when he and stuey fought many years ago which was close.

I honestly think both will walk forward, both get stuck in, and it will be a straight up shoot out till the end. I'm not expecting the most technical of fights but as you say...fitness and workrate are definitely a factor, just not in the way you see it for me.

I'm a realist and can see Gav is on a roll at the moment and certainly has momentum but I do think Stuey has a good chance if his training is going as well as he says and he has surprised people before.

I can see why most would make Gav Mac the favourite at this point though to be fair.

I'm a friend of Stueys but like Gav's story as well so all I hope is that they are both fit and healthy after and the fans enjoy the fight.

lets see eh!
