Tough fights for Jacobs and Miller.

Post by apollo creed »

If 'Fat baby' Miller will succeed to beat a fully trained Duhaupas It'd be a solid performance for him. Duhaupas gave Wilder a tough fight and against Povetkin, he didn't have the time to prepare properly.

Jacobs looked a little drained and overtrained and maybe that fight against Golovkin took something from him. I think Jacobs somehow is getting too comfortably with the fact he went 12 rds against Golovkin and this may give him some false confidence. Sulecki looks tough and motivated.

I don't know why fat baby Miller is making that mouth grimace. He looks silly and fake.

Sulecki reminds me of Kelly Pavlik.

Miller shouldn't have too many problems with Duhaupas. He's a good fighter but Miller has already steam rolled better fighters in Wach and Washington.

Miller's bigger opponent is hos own lack of self control. If he keeps growing he'll end up as a Butterbean side show fighter.

Washington might have an edge over Duhaupas in technique, but compare how their chins stood up to Wilder's right hand. When it comes to a trial of fighting spirit and intestinal fortitude there is no comparison.

I've always seen Wach and Duhaupas as similar in attributes to each other and to Dominic Breazeale. I've been a fan of Mariusz Wach, I thought he didn't get the respect he deserved but I think he was well past his best by the time he faced Miller.

I don't see Miller's bulk as much of a problem, he seems to me to have a better engine and superior mobility to a great many boxers of more conventional proportions,

Miller probably won't need to the full twelve rounds but you can only get so far with that conditioning.

I like Danny Jacobs for keeping busy, and hopefully a win here will get him a title shot next. The GGG/ Canelo/Goldenboy saga has caused quite a traffic jam. The Golovkin camp should certainly be looking for alternative opponents for September. The Canelo rematch may never happen now.

If Jacobs wins this fight I'd like to see him against Jermall. The winner is the most eligible mw fighter to get a shot at Golovkin-Canelo II winner. :TU:

Oddsmakers don't believe the two headliners will have any problems tonight.

Jacobs is a 1-16 choice over Sulecki.

Big Baby Miller is an even more lopsided 1-25 favorite over Duhaupus.

If they're correct, the co-mains are expected to be just routine outings for Miller and Jacobs, on their way to bigger fights.

I also think that the favorites won't have problems winning their fights tonight.
