Better be a decent opponent this time! Wouldn't mind seeing him in with Sergio Martinez tbh.

KIKO MARTINEZ

Deffo needs stepped up mate. He was a top amateur for a long time and isn't a kid age wise! Fighting these knock over jobs do fukk all for him. Someone like Martinez would be spot on IMO :TU:

He's fighting Ibon Larrinaga this month in New York. Thats a very strong opponent ahead of a homecoming. I'd have been happy with Larrinaga as his homecoming fight!

so hes fighting a featherfists with 2 stoppages in 11 fights vs poor opponents, who was just ko'd in 2 by the mighty artitz pardal, and who has beaten only 3 guys with winning records (1 a georgian and 1 a hungarian).

okay, well i wouldnt say thats strong at all even in the circumstances. being 10-1 does not mean a hell of a lot on its own. mick conlan was a world champ amateur and olympic medalist who went to 2 games. he also did well in 10 world series of boxing fights, and he seems to have a style well suited to the pros.

hes way way beyond these guys even though he doesnt have many pro fights. and hes like 27 soon. so i hope his homecoming or at least fight after that is someone much better then the guy hes fighting next. i dont agree at all thats a satisfactory opponent but maybe i have different standards for him

conlans really being moved no faster then 6 years younger stablemate shakur stevenson. hes good enough and experienced enough i think to be moved like josh kelly, who actually turned pro slightly after conlan.

A month out from selling out a 10k seat venue. I'd say it was a VERY strong opponent!
