On the back of Fury fight being described as "exclusive" to BT Sports Customers, I can also see that Conlan's homecoming has been on its poster ESPN, allegedly, and BT Sports - no sign of allegedly being mentioned.
Early I know, but is the channel itself being phased out? I never thought having most fight simulcast was a sustainable model.

Re: allegedly
I can't see it lasting much longer if they're introducing a BT PPV platform! I hope I'm wrong because I've been a subscriber from the start and I'd miss it. Another PPV platform is another kick in the peas for boxing fans!
Re: allegedly
I really wish I could be arsed to go through old IFL interviews with Warren when he swore there would be no PPV and that it was an utter con and BS

Re: allegedly
Pretty sure he never said that though - he said there would be PPV for big events, but regular BN subscribers would never have to pay the extra for them.
Re: allegedly
I watched his interview as well and wondered what the exclusive side was meaning in respect to all these guys will be exclusive to BT. There was very little mention of allegedly.stujones wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 12:06 On the back of Fury fight being described as "exclusive" to BT Sports Customers, I can also see that Conlan's homecoming has been on its poster ESPN, allegedly, and BT Sports - no sign of allegedly being mentioned.

It was like the Top10 he has Fury/BJ/Frampton etc will now only be on BT moving forward - he does say like things still to be discussed etc.
Re: allegedly
Watch 1st 2-3 minutes of his interview with IFL today - all his shows until the Autumn will be BN - then all the fighters are BT exclusive and he says we’ll work out what we do then or words to that effect like BN won’t be around after that ?Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 13:28Pretty sure he never said that though - he said there would be PPV for big events, but regular BN subscribers would never have to pay the extra for them.
Re: allegedly
I had to cancel allegedly as I had a technical problem recording the HD channel through Sky - been a BN subscriber since the start and they couldn't solve the problem
I still have BT Sport so get the BT / BN shows as part of the BT subscription, I don't however get the non BT sport cards on BN in HD now, only SD
I wonder if I will go into the category having to pay for PPV?

Ah, dunno mate, I was just referring to what Warren had said in the past, haven’t seen today’s interview. If he ends up scrapping BN, it’ll be a huge shame as we’ll almost certainly stop getting all the international content.3132DW wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 13:42Watch 1st 2-3 minutes of his interview with IFL today - all his shows until the Autumn will be BN - then all the fighters are BT exclusive and he says we’ll work out what we do then or words to that effect like BN won’t be around after that ?Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 13:28Pretty sure he never said that though - he said there would be PPV for big events, but regular BN subscribers would never have to pay the extra for them.
Warren’s UK stable definitely wouldn’t tempt me into getting BT sport, it’s a rip off for the amount of content you get. I’m only paying for Sky Sports at the moment because I got an amazing deal on it with my new contract, but can soon see me not having any sports subscriptions at all if BN shuts down.
Re: allegedly
Or maybe if fwank closes BN then bt sports might pick up considerably more boxing.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 13:53Ah, dunno mate, I was just referring to what Warren had said in the past, haven’t seen today’s interview. Fwank still needs someone broadcasting his domestic shows that don't feature the big names and bt could pick up international cards as needs to compete with sky sports

Re: allegedly
I think it will be on both. Warreñ is always going to put his cards on his own channel and like he has done, start the broadcast earlier than BT.
I doubt allegedly will phizzle out. Lots still have lots of other shows too. And it's not like a partnership (BT + BN) lasts forever.
Btw, I heard they extended the original deal.

Yeah I was thinking that earlier mate. There was a time that he never missed an opportunity to have a go at Sky and Hearn over the PPVs! Double standards!,

Re: allegedly
Been a little disheartened recently with the lack of transparency from Warren and B0xnati0n about their future plans.
The first thing was a suspicion of Tyson Fury's comeback not being on the channel, then news of BT launching a PPV channel and finally today's press conference.
Been a subscriber to B0xnati0n since day one but I cancelled my subscription today. I have been mulling it over for a while. I've got a 6 month old and a toddler. I'm no longer able to stay up through the nights for the international shows plus don't get peace to watch them on a Sunday morning. Saturday nights are my only window for my live boxing fix.
I won't miss out though. I currently use my Dad's Virgin TV Go account to watch boxing on SKY Sports on my laptop. I'll just use that to watch the boxing on BT too. As for the international cards it'll be either YouTube or a return to downloading the fights from one of the two dedicated boxing torrent sites.

Fukk! I didn't even know that mate! Should've been a worrying sign of things to come! I wouldn't mind if they let the BN subscribers get all PPV as part of our subscriptions! That would make sense! If they were only gonna offer a few PPVs a year then that would deffo make sense. They're still getting the loyal customers subscriptions every month. See what happens. Hopefully the loyal subscribers don't get stiffed!Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 17:04Yh for those that never had a subscription and just wanted to watch the fight one-off.

Missing a trick there, mate. Forget about staying up for international shows, just make sure you record them and proactively offer to let your missus lie-in every Sunday morning. Make sure your kids are occupied, then watch boxing to your heart’s content, easy winnerchad wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 17:08 Been a little disheartened recently with the lack of transparency from Warren and B0xnati0n about their future plans.

Re: allegedly
I pay for BN more out of force of habit these days. I have an interest in various sports so don't watch nothing but boxing, and the content on BN just seems to have faded away.
Bizarrely my biggest annoyance was the Saunders Monroe fight; it was never going to be a great fight but this is one of FW's biggest names in a world title fight and it was stuck on BN standard definition whilst the HD channel showed adverts for the GGG Canelo PPV. I thought that was disgraceful.
