Will Bellew retire too or have a shot at a title at heavyweight (Wilder?)or cruiserweight (Uzyk?). I think I'd retire now if I was him.
No way Bellew should retire.

Plenty of good fights for him.
He should carry on yes.

Gotta admire his ability to squeeze out another pay day despite being so broken. That was his last rodeo, though.

Sad end to his career.
Haye vs Price...let's do it! :OhYes:
No thanks. Price has serious power.
Haye is an accident waiting to happen now. A big heavyweight might have caused lasting damage. I'm sure no one, even Gilgamesh, would want to see something like that.

As for the victory for "Bomber" I don't know what kind of worth it is to beat a man who has been plagued with numerous career injuries and hasn't had a substantive fight in several years... But I hope Bellew goes back to cruiserweight, because there's no way that he defeats heavyweights of any real size and worth.
Think Bellew would get starched by all the top cruisers.

Could see him fight again at heavy purely for the money!
Yeah a fight between he and Fury would be big money. Considering that he likely loses against the Elite at Cruiser OR Heavyweight he might as well fight a big name Heavy because that's where the money is.

Yes I wouldn't want to see anybody suffer a permanent injury in a Boxing match. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing him knocked out another dozen times

What's bizarre about it? Do you like every fighter? There aren't a few guys that you just don't like and root passionately against?
I'd 100% never do what you're doing. But hey, crack on if you're happy.
You ain't me

It's very seldom that I truly dislike a fighter and relish seeing them lose. Haye has earned his rightful place on my sh*t list, and you're damn right I'm happy. You don't gotta like it, and frankly the fact that you don't like it makes it that much sweeter for me.
And you don't gotta like me notta liking what you don'ta like.

Or some shite.

Can't imagine he would retire honestly. There's gotta be at least one more mega payday out there for him off of this.

You boys are sadists if you want to see Bellew in with Fury. That only ends one way and it isn't pretty for Bellew

I liked Haye when he was coming up but I lost a lot of respect for him when he reneged on his oft-stated promise to retire before his 30th birthday. He didn’t want to become one of those boxers that went on too long, chasing paydays as he aged and his skills eroded. Well, guess what?

Not a sadism thing. Just a money thing.

If there's anybody I hate more than David Haye it's Tyson Fury so if Bellew manages to beat 'em both I'll hang a poster of him on my wall

Personally, I think Bellew saw the writing on the wall before most with Usyk and others coming up fast. BJ Flores he could beat, sure, but he knew he'd be outclassed and out punched if he stuck around.

The gamble paid off for him fighting former cruiserweight Haye, but he knew that Haye was injury prone and hadn't had a real fight in years.

I don't know who else at heavyweight fits a similar criteria other than Price, but considering the 6'8" giant almost knocked out Povetkin (arguably the most avoided heavyweight in the world) I can't see Bellew lasting even against him.

Yes. :TU:
Me too. Funny hearing Gareth A. Davies interviewing Kirsty Gallagher before the right and pushing her to choose a winner. When she finally said "Bellew" she'd barely finished saying the word when the poncey one snapped "You're wrong!" as if he ,was the wise, all knowing expert. What a knob!

Bellew can potentially be beaten by any half decent Heavyweight so he'd be wise to go for the biggest money bout possible next time out because there really aren't any "Easy" options for him at Heavyweight.

I left the PPV on pause so I could watch the interviews later, but they've decided I'm not allowed to do that as the PPV is over now and they've just turned it off for me instead.

What sort of way is that to treat a paying customer?

Disgusting.

I think hhe fought Bellew twice for the money.. he's a promoter. He needs financial backing.. he has schaeffer too. He is a good promoter. He can sell fights.

That really is f*cked. I'm sorry to hear that.

I can type out a word for word transcript for you if you'd like. I can rewind it here in America where I didn't pay for it...ironically.

I thought Haye looked terrible in the open workout, but he talks such a good fight and looked like he had dehydrated himself purposely for the weigh in where he looked almost perfectly sculpted. It's easy to get sucked in.

Reality is, too much time out, too much injury, too much weight gain and probably the biggest factor is his age. When you're such an athlete as Haye was. Having to adjust to not being that same athlete is going to be a struggle. He can no longer rely on that athletic ability that was obviously such a big factor in his best wins.
