WIBA title history (Womens International Boxing Association)

Hi guys, I think there is some title lineage mixup in the Boxrec records,

According to WIBA's own About page, they were founded in 2000.

However, according to Boxrec, the WIBA's first title fight was in 1993 and continues on throughout the 90s.

The very first fight recorded is: Stacey Prestage (W) vs Deirdre Gogarty (L) for the WIBA Lightweight title.


I did a bit of digging and searched their respective names, coming across the following websites (presumably their own):

It records the same date, but claims the WIBF (not WIBA) title.

It also claims the "the first ever Women’s International Boxing Federation world title fight."

The WIBF was founded in 1989, according to Wikipedia, the WIBF's own Facebook, various articles if you simply search "WIBF 1989", and according to this article on its founder being inducted into the IWBHF (International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame)

My concern is, has the pre-2001 WIBF title records been incorrectly added the to WIBA's datebase?

And do they all belong to WIBF, or have other bodies' title fights also been incorrectly added to WIBA's?

Its obvious there is a mistake here, when the WIBA itself says they were founded in 2000 (and according to Boxrec's own wiki).

Is anyone looking into this, or comment? Seems like a noticeable oversight or mixup.
