Cecilia Braekhus v Kali Reis

I watched this last night while waiting for GGG & the last four rounds were pretty exciting. Braekhus put on a boxing clinic early on but got decked in the 7th & was under a bit of pressure late on from the Native American lass.

Saw it over breakfast this morning.

Probably the best all-female fight I've ever watched, TBH. Anyone think Reis might win a rematch? She looked very strong & I think it was Braekhus's experience as well as her wheels that troubled Reis early.

I can think of more brutal tear-ups, but that was an entertaining, reasonably-matched ten rounder IMO fought at a decent level. Not saying it was McCallum vs Toney IV, mate, but yeah it's streets ahead (competition-wise) than any female fight I can think of off the top of my head.

Compare it to a Laila Ali fight or a Christy Martin, these girls are far more skilled. If more women see high-profile bouts & think "I can do that" then fornicating A, the deeper the talent pool the better it'll get IMO.

it was a decent fight with a bit of late drama. ability levels werent bad, they at least could punch with technique and looked like boxers rather then ladies picked out of a pub to brawl. i suppose that makes it an atg female fight.
