Dillian Whyte explains Dereck Chisora confrontation
Asked how their latest argument began, Whyte told Sky Sports:
"Dereck is a deluded, strange man who talks nonsense. There's no point shouting when there's 10 security guards between us.
"He acts like he's an unpredictable gangster. He sends me messages saying: 'when I see you, I'll slap you'.
"So when I saw him, as he's had a lot to say on the Internet, I told him: 'let's go [backstage] and speak about it man to man and face to face'.
"He ran behind the security, shouting and screaming, making lots of noise. He wants publicity when there's cameras around but, when you get him face-to-face, he's got nothing to say.
"I was calm. I told him facts. I said there's no point shouting when there's 10 security guards between us. When I asked him to speak mano a mano he didn't want to.
"I see Chisora for what he really is - an Internet bad-man."
Whyte has won three times since beating Chisora and is currently wrangling with the WBC and IBF to organise a final eliminator before he can challenge for a world title.
"Dereck is desperate. I was willing to fight him last February but he lost to Agit Kabayel in Monaco. I advised him not to take that fight. That pushed him far away from a rematch with me.
"If I knock Chisora out, people will say: 'Chisora is finished because he lost to Kabayel'. It's a business and people want to see me progress, not waste time.
"If Chisora gets a good win, he becomes relevant again. Until then he needs to sit down."

Say what you like about Whyte, but his description of Chisora as “a deluded, strange man who talks nonsense” is absolutely perfect
Re: Dillian Whyte explains Dereck Chisora confrontation
Whyte is right about one thing - Chisora shouldn't have taken the fight against whathisname. He came in unmotivated and lost unnecessarily, and in the process missed out on a lucrative Whyte rematch.
Re: Dillian Whyte explains Dereck Chisora confrontation
Yeah mate. He's in a lot of IFL videos with some other brothers as well. They're a fuckin riot! Pack of goons.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 17:04Was that his brother? Who Chisora called cheerleader?

Is there a fight that can go by without Whyte telling the opponent he’s gonna come to their house.

I think it’s nice that he gives warning in advance. Nothing worse than someone dropping in unannounced and the house is scruffy or you haven’t vaccuumed.jameswilson wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 05:22 Is there a fight that can go by without Whyte telling the opponent he’s gonna come to their house.

I kind of like Whyte - seems to be naturally chirpy and comes across as quite genuine on Talksport punditry gig. I'd like to see him carry on doing well with his career. I agree he's best moving on past a Chisora re-match, more downsides than ups now. He get's little regard for beating Chisora, but if a good version of Chisora turns up it could all come un-stuck for him.

How nice. Give them time to put the kettle on too so they can a little catch up..leejonesjnr wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 05:36I think it’s nice that he gives warning in advance.
