Nathan Gorman
How far do you think he can go? I've seen highlights of his fights & been very impressed. Not yet 22 too.

Re: Nathan Gorman
Not going to be a world champion but British is achievable as he is still a baby and can wait until the likes of JJ Have moved on
Re: Nathan Gorman
he looks solid but i cant say hes really stood out as a super prospect or anything like that. quick snappy hands and good body punching. a bit stiff legged and maybe plodding at times though. not that big for a hw and obviously flabby.
ill have to check out the sokolowski fight though, thats a really good result to stop him but i havent watched it

Probably not world, but I think he could go beyond British.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 18:46 Not going to be a world champion but British is achievable as he is still a baby and can wait until the likes of JJ Have moved on

Re: Nathan Gorman
If the likes of Teper, Helenius and Kabayel can win the European title then I see no reason why Gorman couldn't in a year or 2. I don't mean that in a derogatory way towards those 3, I actually think Kabayel is quite good (the other 2 not so much).oogiebe wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 19:49I don't...too soft.BitPlayer wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 19:24Probably not world, but I think he could go beyond British.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 18:46 Not going to be a world champion but British is achievable as he is still a baby and can wait until the likes of JJ Have moved on
Re: Nathan Gorman
Good point; Fair point. You could very well be right. We all need to see more of him, though.

Re: Nathan Gorman
Doesnt look like he has the discipline to go far. Carrying around way too much fat. Seems like the kind who will always be a fat fighter
Re: Nathan Gorman
When Helenius beat Sam Peter I thought "Whoa, we have a serious contender here". Then it all went Pete Tong against Chisora. He had Del Boy hurt in the 1st round but broke his hand & got a gift decision.
Anyway, back to Gorman, the people saying he's too soft - do you think he'd go further with a better physique?
Re: Nathan Gorman
Not saying he needs to look like a bodybuilder, but he's a young lad and a professional athlete - he shouldn't be fat. If you saw him on the beach on holiday you'd think he was a fat lad who likes his beer and burgers.Taansend wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 23:00When Helenius beat Sam Peter I thought "Whoa, we have a serious contender here". Re: Nathan Gorman
I don’t know why people talk about the British title as if it’s a poor level to reach.
Saying that a boxer will probably win it is not an insult and posters in a boxing forum should realise what an achievement it is.

Rewartching it, I think he actually lost the first round, he actually barely landed.Taansend wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 23:00When Helenius beat Sam Peter I thought "Whoa, we have a serious contender here". Re: Nathan Gorman
LOL! No, his physique is genetics. Someone else mentioned some pretty good fighters before who were 'soft' looking: Arreola, etc. So no. He just looked plodding and no better than a lot of guys coming up. Nothing special. However; things can always change.Taansend wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 23:00When Helenius beat Sam Peter I thought "Whoa, we have a serious contender here". Then it all went Pete Tong against Chisora. FW just announced that he's fighting Sean Turner on the Fury card.

Haven't watched it since it happened Mate.BitPlayer wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 07:23Rewartching it, I think he actually lost the first round, he actually barely landed.Taansend wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 23:00When Helenius beat Sam Peter I thought "Whoa, we have a serious contender here". I just remember thinking Del was in trouble during the first round

Kabayel is a 'comer' imho.Taansend wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 10:40Haven't watched it since it happened Mate.BitPlayer wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 07:23Rewartching it, I think he actually lost the first round, he actually barely landed.Taansend wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 23:00

Re: Nathan Gorman
as i recall del dominated that round until the last 15 seconds or so . where he got tagged and retreated. i did beleve he seemed slightly buzzed but he was so in control apart from that that i stll gave him the round
Re: Nathan Gorman
There are always fighters who are the exception which proves the rule but it is not that he is fat which means his future is limited but the reason why he is fat being an indicator to a lot of other things
Re: Nathan Gorman
I get what you're saying but I don't see him as that fat. He could be in better shape in regards to muscle & body fat ratio but if Hatton is training him then you know he's being put through the mill when in camp.
It's not like he's Andy Ruiz... Plus he's only 21. Still developing into a man.

It's on YouTube. Watch the first round and see what you think.Taansend wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 10:40Haven't watched it since it happened Mate.BitPlayer wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 07:23Rewartching it, I think he actually lost the first round, he actually barely landed.Taansend wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 23:00

Re: Nathan Gorman
in terms of the fatness i dont think him being 21 is somehow a good thing, its more common to add flab then to muscle up and trim down with age.
Re: Nathan Gorman
watching del-helenius again id gotten the times mixed up. del defo seemed a bit buzzed by a right high on the head, but that happened about halfway through the round rather then at the end. del for the most part was in control that round though and it was only a very short period where he looked iffy..
