And nothing will happen to him.
The wbc will sanction the GGG rematch and not say a thing.

Re: CANELO still not being drug tested !
So what?
Canelo doesn't have any fight scheduled..
Did the NSAC order him to undergo daily testing during his suspension? I don't think so.
So is Canelo supposed to follow the dictates and desires of Abel Sanchez?
I don't think so either.

Re: CANELO still not being drug tested !
If his team are serious about repairing his reputation he should be undergoing testing and submitting the results publicly.

Re: CANELO still not being drug tested !
I think people overestimate how interested or concerned GBP might be in doing some sort of rehabilitation when it comes to Canelo's reputation.
Bottom line, fans will continue to pay to watch him fight.
In the long run---and very possibly the short run--the average fan will quickly forget about all this clenbuterol talk and accusations.
They're only interested in the actual fights, not all this drawn out sideline drama.
As long as Canelo passes his future random drug tests, whenever they occur, that's all that matters.
He certainly under no obligation to bow to the wishes/demands of his opponents, the media or the public.

Lot of assumptions there. The question is...why wouldn’t he?SenorPipino wrote: ↑07 May 2018, 23:19 I think people overestimate how interested or concerned GBP might be in doing some sort of rehabilitation when it comes to Canelo's reputation.

Re: CANELO still not being drug tested !
Oscar De La Hoya is claiming that Canelo is willing to get tested for performance-enhancing drugs every day from now until his September 15th rematch against Gennady Golovkin and he confirmed this by explaining the following during a recent interview:
“Canelo’s a clean fighter and he’ll get tested every single day from now until the fight...”
I don’t know if GBP or Canelo will subsequently decide to substantiate this claim by providing evidence disclosed to VADA, the NSAC, the sports' governing bodies or even publicly, but this is something I’m sure the media will challenge De La Hoya on at a later date.

Re: CANELO still not being drug tested !
..an explanation is pretty simple: the fact is Canelo has a huge following of die-hard fans who will support him anyway ..and those fans who don't and won't will pay to see his sorry ass kicked ..so why bother making an extra effort?

Yep, Canelo is actively juicing now the same way he has always done between his fights. Pathetic. Golovkin should refuse fighting the cheater.

Re: CANELO still not being drug tested !
According to that...what is usual for Canelo is to not be tested prior to the scheduling of a fight. He is the A side and has been for many years. He dictates when fights occur. So he can take whatever he wants to prior to scheduling, he can delay scheduling too. Then he gets to training camp and he’s performance enhancement fit. In 6-8 week training period he only needs to maintain that fitness/edge. He would have to do that without PEDS. All that strength and lean muscle and whatever other advantage. It wouldn’t diminish or greatly diminish would it?boxing_rocks wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 23:48 Juicing and not planning to be tested any time soon:

WRONG! That's not what the article says. Why lie?boxing_rocks wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 23:48 Juicing and not planning to be tested any time soon:

“If we have a deal done, he’ll start when the contracts get signed,” Gomez said.
“If that’s what they want, we’ll do it like that. Canelo has no problem doing that. We went above and beyond to prove that this is an accident. So all the proper protocols will be in place. There are no issues there.”
The representatives of GGG and Canelo start negotiations for the rematch next week! FFS! Did you not know that?

Re: CANELO still not being drug tested !
Canelo is recovering from knee surgery.
He doesn't have a fight scheduled.
He doesn't cater to the daily ad naseum whims and whines of Golovkin and Sanchez.
So why should he bother with drug testing?
If De La Hoya wants to prematurely spout off about having tests done on a daily basis between now and eternity, that's just his mouth going overtime.
Stories abound about how Canelo really pays little heed to what ODLH requests, so I don't think Big Red is going to start listening to him now.

Canelo accounted for 94% of Golden Boy’s income from boxing operations in 2015 and 107% in the first half of 2016.SenorPipino wrote: ↑10 May 2018, 10:26 Canelo is recovering from knee surgery.

I'd say that Canelo doesn't take orders from De La Hoya.

I'd say that's an Enlightened observation.
When Canelo's GBP contract expires, I believe he'll explore going it on his own.

Re: CANELO still not being drug tested !
He must be drug testing year around if he wants to fight for the WBC belt.
He must be drug testing year around if he wants to clear his name.
Here is a good article:

Actually, he may be trying to make Golovkin to refuse to fight him, as he doesn't want to take another beating from GGG.
Re: CANELO still not being drug tested !
That only applies to non Mexicans. Canelo is Mexican, he gets a meat pass and a free title shot.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑10 May 2018, 22:33He must be drug testing year around if he wants to fight for the WBC belt.

Its called a power up period, you fool. He has 4 months to jack up like the Hulk, then 2 months detox. Now make me some steak.Like a Boss wrote: ↑11 May 2018, 00:43....and whatever else he chooses safe in the knowledge nobody is going to test him.
