Hang on, there isn't a thread started. Oh yeah, Wes ain't here.. :verysad:
Oh well, I'm sure all those people who knocked him can get off their arses and start one off :maybe:
Or maybe they are happy just to winge?

No mate, I couldn't be arsed :-P
Luckily Ruthie stepped up :TU:
I have and will do though, and might even do the odd poll- which I like as a quick reference to how people think it will go.

The constant tweet posting was a proper pain.
The Bensonn tweets were annoying. Someone on here is saying about polls. I think what people mean is, the poll part isn't the issue. It was basically..

Benson tweeted that Joshua had farted on Fred Kassi's face --> Wes created a 'who wins' thread for Joshua vs. Kassi. The OP was basically, 'if these two fought, who wins?' Along with a poll.

A good example was the Sadam Ali vs. Liam Williams. It was very very very lightly mentioned by Benson and Wes acts like it's happenening. Also I noticed, he hardly gave us his own thoughts.

I didn't mind the videos.

The Tyson Fury vs. TBA thread or Khan vs. Brook - TBA thread that was created nearly 2 years ago. They were quote annoying when they got bumped.

Also that thread 'Wesshaw & Ruthless', he was being an asśhole. Showing his true self.

Yes you did. Difference between me and Wes was, I only posted fights that where announced or in 1 or 2 cases.. very nearly announced.

If people want to follow YouTube or boxing news sites, then that’s up to them. We don’t need or want everything spammed on here, most of us have already watched the interesting stuff. And his recent pettiness over the various duplicate threads was just pathetic tbh.

It was his constant bumping/changing thread titles that pissed me off though, it made the forum a proper mess and the threads no longer made any sense by the time the title had been changed a hundred times.

I don’t want to see him permanently banned, but he needs to drastically modify his posting behaviour if he does come back.
Pretty much sums up my exact feeling but I would add that I found it frustrating that he refused to moderate and alter his behaviour when decent guys and posters tried appealing. That is really odd. At school most of us learnt to alter our behaviour when it was clearly not being received well. Only total fcking nutcases carry on regardless.

I have to say that I have found the forum easier to navigate through this week and a better, more logical experience.

i just dont get why the polls are such a massive issue for some ppl, its basically just an add on to a thread where ppl can vote on something so we have some numbers to work with

and ppl complain about spamming of vids, etc, but a lot of those are informative for ppl who arent following youtube, or certain boxing news sites

Nutshelled it.

All those hypothetical match up threads were a pain too.

The thing with Wes is he didn’t take the advice of other posters or mods to try cut down on his posting. If anything he actually increased his output. He was a borderline troll if you ask me. Either that or he took some sort of weird self pleasure in seeing his threads at the top of the board every day.

Can you allow people to post but block them from creating threads or editing thread titles? That would have been a good compromise

The board is stronger with Wes back. He was good for breaking news etc... He obviously put some effort in to it and that has to be appreciated. If he's given another chance and he toes the line then I want him back. He deserves another crack man! If he comes back and makes a horses cock of it then he's made a balls of it and that's on him!

It could be argued that a thread like that shouldn’t be on the British & Irish forum in the first place. I appreciate the Current Scene is like the Cuckoo’s Nest but unless a fight involves a British or Irish fighter, a thread like that belongs over there. Just my 2 cents. :TU:

It did get very weird in the last few weeks with Wes and Ruthless competing in some sort of bizarre passive aggressive Cold War to see who could get their version of virtually identical threads to the top of the front page, and always racing to get their thread created before anyone else. We had RBR threads being started about 6 hours before first bell ffs

I wouldn't have put the fight in the B&I section.. big fights like Loma-Linares, I created a thread in B&I, ONLY BECAUSE, I know a lot of guys from UK only 'chill' in that section.

The forum has improved in the last week - easier to navigate, less pointless threads and no squabbling between a couple of children who have a bizarre hard on for competing over posts on a online forum. Hopefully he uses the time out to do something a bit more productive with his spare time than check Bensons twitter account every five minutes and cry about his poles

You can't tar Ruth and Wes with the same brush. They are both obviously interested in the sport and keeping the forum up to date but Ruth would post on all threads not just ones he created and he weren't bumping his threads up during RBR so people would post on his thread. Ruth seems to like conversation about boxing where Wes don't. Alright Ruth likes a shjt poll about who's attending this event and stuff like that but everyone can be a pudendum sometimes :TU:

Banning seems a bit much for a half dead forum. Removing the ability for him to make polls would've been a happy medium.
