After the first round it would do well to do bigger ratings than a PPV featuring a tortoise running 100 meters. The casuals won't want to go near Hughie "Paint Drying" Fury and many will be turned off boxing by the snoozer. They already classified Hughie vs Parker as torture under the Geneva Convention.

How many brought the parker fight? Hughie doesn't sell because he is a boring fighter, losing to Parker won't suddenly bring in fans on channel 5.

It will do far less views than the Klitschko fight. That just under 1m buys so UK viewers would be c.2m, which Hughie won’t get near to tonight. It also doesn’t include overseas viewers.

Channel 5 struggle to get over 1m viewers (with the exception of Big Brother) consistently. They’d have less than 10 shows a week doing in excess of 1m viewers so the fight tonight will struggle to get close to the number of buyers (not viewers) of the last few AJ cards.

I think it could - in the sense that terrestrial figures for fights are often dramatically higher than on platforms like Sky and BT, purely because it's free and anyone with a TV has access. There will be plenty of people who still sit down on a Saturday night and look towards the main terrestrial channels for something to watch.

Groves has a much larger appeal than Hughie.

I had totally forgot this fight was even on until today. That is how poorly it is promoted.
