Hughie & Tyson Fury haven't spoken in months

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

British professional boxer Hughie Fury is slowly rising from the shadows of cousin Tyson Fury and trying to make his mark in the heavyweight division.

But the subject of debate among the boxing faithful has been whether Hughie would ever challenge Tyson for a bout in the coming months after the latter recently announced his return to the sport.

However, it has been revealed the two Furys have not actually spoken since Tyson split from previous trainer Peter Fury, Hughie's father.

Nevertheless, Hughie claims he would never face his 29-year-old cousin, regardless of how their relationship is.

Speaking on the entire scenario, the 23-year-old said: “I definitely wouldn’t fight him [Tyson]. I wouldn’t lower myself to that level," per The Mirror.

“Family is family, even if you don’t speak. You don’t put yourself in the ring just for money.

“I’ve not spoken to him much, but I wish him all the best and I hope he does well. If he gets a world title, he gets one. I’ve not got animosity for anyone.”

Shame they've all fallen out, hope they can work out their differences.

Yeah. I’ve met him at a couple of shows and he seems like a really nice bloke. He was happy to chat and was really friendly.

It's blatantly obvious there's been a serious dispute. Probably nothing to do with Hughie, he's just loyal to his dad.

Not saying it was debated on Boxrec. I think it was briefly mentioned, in case one held a title etc.

Kinda like Wladimir and Vitali saying they would not fight each other.

It's a shame the family have fallen out and don't speak but probably not surprising after the mentalness of the last 2 years.

The Fury story will make a good book one day. Hope someone writes one.

I think a biography from someone not connected to the family would be most interesting rather than a book by one of the family

Maybe Hughie just said that then to avoid any more Tyson questions

Wasn't officially dropped 2 years ago. It was when he announced Ben Davison.

Didn't Tyson get his hump up when Hughie went training with Joyce and having pics with haye?

Then he left Peter.

Imagine if it wasn’t written by the family.

Peter would have been world champion but...
John would have been world champion but....
It’s in the blood. Bartley Gorman would have beat Ali, Tyson would batter Larry Holmes, shades of Ali etc etc

It’d be the craic to be fair!

I spoke to one of their cousins a few weeks back and according to him, it'll be sorted soon.
