There you go Hughie...,

You can be an elusive mover as long as you punch the other guy back from time to time.

hughie looked good, but for me the question is if when he faces better opposition he was have the punches flowing like he did tonight or goes back to pretty much entirely air jabs.

Sexton holding the British in this current era is quite something.

He’s probably tenth best heavy in Britain

Sexton was too slow, had no movement and looked pretty poor throughout. That said, credit to Hughie, that was a decent showing.

Sexton was poor and his style is made for Fury, but it was still good to see Hughie finally putting a bit of spite in his work. Hopefully he keeps it going now.

He should have had 4/5 of these types of fights under his belt already.

Still, hopefully he goes about it a little different now.

Will he relinquish the belt now? One thing the Fury boys have done is take certain routes towards their end goal. Tyson had a strange career progression.

It was a sad end for Sam. He didn't look good in there.

He’s looked off since Price blew him apart. He’s a nice bloke though, hopefully he got a decent pay packet tonight and he calls it a day. Not sure his heart is really in it anymore.

Agreed. Good to have it free to watch. For all the mocking of Hennessey shows (and they deserve it) there is something good about this being available for everyone to watch.

Hughie is obviously levels above. It was a crap fight but he arguably beat Parker so to me he is world class. Sexton is inactive and lost to Price and Chisora in his prime. It’s a nice title to have and it was good to get the stoppage but yeah if Hughie hadn’t done a job on Sexton I would have been shocked.

Fair play to Fury that KO was right out the top drawer, leaned back in the corner and brought Sexton right on the that big right hand, the knockdown in the 4th was quality too, the right hand down the pipe stiffened Sexton but he actually done well to avoid that massive right Fury threw, he did get him with the next one though

Decent performance from Fury, he did box on the backfoot again but I was glad to see him stand his ground as it wore on and dig the shots in and as I said that finishing KO was top drawer, Sexton came forward but was too slow to get in range

He’s leading the pack according to meaty Mick. Interesting...

Talking it up a lot, but to be expected. Dempsey not having it all though, fair play to him.

Hughie wins against a shell of a fighter who fought nary a fight per year in the last three years, isn't so impressive to me. He looked the way he should and needs a rematch with Parker. See if can turn on the juice versus a contender.

Hooray for Hughie. Hope I can catch a copy on Youtube. I reckon the loss to Parker will change him to be a bit more assertive although I remember thinking along similar lines after Johnny Nelson fought Carlos DeLeon
