I lost a two paragraph reply ffs haha. Anyway. I agree with what you are saying. I’ll say it quickly now...how will loma react to the power as you were saying and my thing...foot speed coupled with angles. But the counter puncher mikes has great timing, he could catch loma darting in. Very tough to predict. This would be the best fight in boxing next to Spence Crawford imo.NateJR wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 00:00I agree with what you're saying to a degree. But when Garcia starts to touch Lomachenko with precise counters, will Lomachenko himself tread more lighly on the offense? Normally when fighters move up in weight their offense drops because they focus more on their defense. There are exceptions, but Garcia is a special fighter as well.lazboy wrote: ↑12 May 2018, 23:55 Think he’s still as special as he was. He got dropped...which can happen when you’re being so offensive, moving in on a lager target...And it’s boxing...don’t really see a overall weakness at all...just a small lapse.
Garcia’s a great fighter and lovely to watch. Wondering if he has the speed to beat lomachenko. Linares did well with super fast combos...I see Garcia’s as more of a measured precise power puncher..doesn’t let his hands go as freely as linares would.
Anyway would love to watch it...clearly Garcia has the power factor over both loma and linares.
I still believe Lomachenko is a fantastic fighter. I don't believe he's quite what some have claimed he is and never have.

His last fight wasn't a cake walk.NateJR wrote: ↑12 May 2018, 23:55Is Lomachenko willing to go through Garcia's fire is just as big of a question. Garcia is the bigger man and is a bigger, more precise puncher and counter puncher than Linares.Evander wrote: ↑12 May 2018, 23:44 Mikey Garcia has the style but does he have the willingness to go all out for 12 should that be the need ?
Knowing the Mexicans I think he will.
I'll find it hard to believe the Mexicans won't be thinking of giving rounds up and letting the scorecards get beyond them, they'll know and prepare for that.
There's a line up starting for Lomachenko.
I also believe Garcia is tough as nails, I've never once seen him show any type of quit in him. Same with Lomachenko, neither guy comes off as someone who is going to quit.
Re: loma reevaulation
Garcia looked tired in some of those rounds against Lipnets and took heat.
Re: loma reevaulation
By the way, Garcia is a lot more talented than Linares. It's pretty much a fact. Garcia wouldn't have struggled and put on a beatdown on Linares.
Re: loma reevaulation
No, they're both experts at their respective craft. As I said, they're each other's p4p contemporaries.

Re: loma reevaulation
Loma vs Garcia at 135 is a toss up.
Loma a little quicker and better defensively. Garcia stronger and a better banger.
Lomachenko deserved his win tonight but he struggled at times and looked human.
I wonder now if TR will be eager to move him up in weight again to face Pacquiao this year.
Lomachenko would appear to need time to adjust to 135 before he considers another jump in weight.

Re: loma reevaulation
What did you make of the Lomachenko knockdown ?
Re: loma reevaulation
imo loma isnt well suited for 135. hes smaller vs all the top guys, and sometimes way smaller
Re: loma reevaulation
I don’t think it’s a major issue. Loma is a human, he was darting forward (I believe), focused on the offence. What matters is how he recovered, he had a very big round not the one after but the one after that. He made a full mental and physical recovery.
Re: loma reevaulation
It was a straight punch up the pipe with the right hand.
Re: loma reevaulation
the knockdown i dont think he was hurt, more like he was getting a bit cocky (he was starting to run away with it) and he came forward with his hands down and the shot kind of pushed him back onto his ass
Re: loma reevaulation
It just goes to show an everyday shot can put you down if your not concentrating.
Re: loma reevaulation
Oh ok that’s what you were saying. Generally though a straight right hand Is a long lean boxers hardest punch imo and especially if lomachenko was moving forward on to it...it’s gonna sting.

Re: loma reevaulation
sometimes knockdowns dont actually hurt, just like someone can push you down with a hard shove (without it scrambling your senses), a punch can do the same. that was sort of how i saw it
he lapsed and walked onto it. he was at a point where he was starting to really walk linares down and open up, but thenlinares turned things a bit with NV the kd

Exactly if you’re a offensive fighter...you’re gonna get hit from time to time. The best offensive but defensive fighters I have seen are lomachenko and pernell Whitaker. Honestly can’t think of many more than that.
Re: loma reevaulation
Linares body shots ... Lomachenko had a clear reaction to them.jamamb wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 01:11 sometimes knockdowns dont actually hurt, just like someone can push you down with a hard shove (without it scrambling your senses), a punch can do the same. that was sort of how i saw it
