So in that case Wilder should put his ONE BELT on the line , go to the UK , and get paid treple , quadruple , 5,6 7, or maybee 8 times the amount he's ever been payed before, and fight the guy with 3 belts to become undisputed . THAT would be worth the risk ,oogiebe wrote: ↑12 May 2018, 22:28If it were all about the money I'd agree, but greatness requires risk. AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !

Are there any details about this offer then? It was a few weeks ago when Wilder made it, but on an accept in 24 hours no other details way that made it look like nonsense.
As for where the fight should happen, Wilder makes a pittance and Joshua makes a fortune. Joshua is the A side. Everyone agrees on that.

I am now in the camp of Wilder fighting in UK if necessary. Hagler did it, so can Wilder.coneye wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 01:06So in that case Wilder should put his ONE BELT on the line , go to the UK , and get paid treple , quadruple , 5,6 7, or maybee 8 times the amount he's ever been payed before, and fight the guy with 3 belts to become undisputed . If Wilder wins he won't need a referee or judges.
As Sam Langford said shaking his fists, "I bought my own judges."

I’m sorry but I’m forced to have the opinion that AJ is a big pu$$y. Sorry my European friends but there’s no other way to slice this one. AJs on tape telling Wilder that he’d take $50mil to fight Wilder and Wilder went out and got him that money and they are weaseling out of it. Sad day when the Heavyweight Champ of the World runs away with his tail between his legs. Embarrassing.

I do not blame Joshua or think he's a pu $$y.caldo2025 wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 12:51 I’m sorry but I’m forced to have the opinion that AJ is a big pu$$y. He has been a fighting champion and I don't think he fears anyone.
I blame his team namely Hearn.
Wilder is currently the only man with a legitimate chance of beating the proverbial cash cow.
A loss by Joshua will lower his future earnings regardless of what some are saying.
Hearn is not willing to risk it for 50 million.
Joshua would step in the ring today for that kind of money
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
Who made the offer? As far as I'm aware it would come from someone like Haymon or Finkel? Seems very odd that Wilder himself is sending out enormous financial contracts don't you think?caldo2025 wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 12:51 I’m sorry but I’m forced to have the opinion that AJ is a big pu$$y. As has been said time and again Joshua makes somewhere in the region of five to ten times minimum the money Wilder makes. He's the A side and without getting into a trans-Atlantic slanging match it seems to me that some of our American friends are having a hard time understanding where the centre of heavyweight boxing is at the moment.
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
Why is anyone giving any credibility to that 50m offer. It's clearly nonsense.
A couple of points that I don't think anyone objects to:
Hearn made Wilder an offer of $12.5m to fight Joshua. This was declined.
Wilder made Joshua an offer of $50m. This was accepted in principle by Joshua, and Hearn went on the record to say he'd asked for a contract and had sought meetings with Wilder's team. No contract was presented and no meeting was accepted.
Lennox Lewis v Mike Tyson generated $106.9m with both fighters being paid $17.5m.
Therefore:
If Wilder is able to offer Joshua $50m and reject a purse of $12.5m for himself he has to believe that the fight can generate enough money to justify a combined purse of more than $62.5m. That is nearly more than twice the purse paid to Lewis and Tyson. In short, Joshua Wilder has to generate considerably more money than a fight between the most famous boxer in an entire generation and the undisputed world champion who had been based in America for essentially a decade.
Joshua has never fought once in America and Wilder is without using any exaggeration approximately a billion times less known than Mike Tyson.
The $50m offer is a joke, not to be taken seriously, and anyone who is taking it seriously is deluded.
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
Why do you care so much?
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
LOL!!! I certainly can! I guess that I have see folks reply to AJ/Wilder like I killed the dog, raped the girls and ate all the goodies in the fridge.
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
Guys...Guys...Guys... Think about what you are saying and what the division landscape looks like right now. This is Manny & Floyd all over again. We have 2 boxers CLEARLY better than the rest and 1 of these boxers is trying to make the fight happen and 1 looking like an ass for doing everything he can do to avoid it. It’s a joke and you should be embarrassed.
How many more garbage fights will AJ put on before he’s ultimately boo’d out of the ring for not fighting Wilder? European Boxing fans are too smart for this tired old bit

Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
Delusions on both sides of this argument. Its pretty funny.
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
As in both sides are delusional. The fanatics that is. Personally I think the fight is 50/50 in terms of who would win. Both fighters largely untested.
But if you say that anywhere you get lynched from both sides.![[icon_knockout.gif] :KO:](./images/smilies/icon_knockout.gif)

Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
Yeah 100 per cent. Even when the fight is done and dusted the fanatics will still be arguing it out.
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
I agree it's a close fight both could win.
The delusion seems to be from those suggesting the 50m offer isn't a joke.
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
I don't disagree with you. I also don't think $12.5 flat fee is particularly fair either though regardless of how many times Mr Wilders payday it is. With that being said though I do believe it should be Wilder who travels as that is how its usually done. We see this kind of behaviour before around big fights though so its nothing new. Both fighters have a lot to lose.
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
It's not. It's just Hearns' hubris in protecting his fighter. I have to think AJ wants this fight with Wilder. It's all the usual between fight BS.jvincent wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 15:55 I don't disagree with you.
