Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
What do you think about ? Is this possible ? I mean Tyson and Hughie Fury have the all (WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO) belts in the same time, just like Wlad and Vitali had. I know this is not realistic scenario right now, but let us say in 2023 it might be.

Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
They're both still young enough. Tyson is 28? and Hughie is 23.. Plenty of time.
Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
Voted for "Difficult to imagine, but who knows", cause it doesn't look similar to Klitschkos for the moment, but, as mentioned before, they are young, many things can happen through time.
Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
I doubt it. Hughie isn’t good enough and who knows what Tyson will come back like.
Either way, I don’t think they’re dedicated enough to dominate the division as the Klitschkos did.

I imagine Fury wants to be undisputed, for all the people who'd argue that you have to have all 4 belts to be such.
Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
..slim chance but who knows..
Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
i dont think anyone serious would say that. ... you have to beat the man to be the man. fury beat klitschko, was it 2 or 3 years ago. he was the man. with fury retired, aj v wilder would unite all the belts and that guy would be the man. ... but now with fury coming back, he will say he is still the man! ... aj & wilder better fight soon whislt that bout is still hot!
Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
It could happen. I don't think they'll be around at the top as long as the Klitschkos though. They were both world class at +40, it's amazing.
Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
Zero chance, IMO.
Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
It could happen. Hughie can beat Wilder and AJ is not beating a top-shape Fury on any planet.

Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
A scenario that is at least somewhat possible: AJ-Wilder happens sooner than later, the winner is allowed to defend against Tyson, who wins to collect all the belts. At least one governing body immediately gets antsy and strips him, ostensibly for not being willing to fight Kubrat Pulev within a month or something similar. Hughie has kept winning and rising the rankings and gets a shot at this stripped belt and wins.
Is that scenario likely or even realistic? Not really, but it is certainly possible.
Either Fury having a long Wlad-like run at heavyweight dominance though is far far less realistic.

With all due respect, I have a house and a couple of cars to bet against this scenarios.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 13:17 A scenario that is at least somewhat possible: AJ-Wilder happens sooner than later, the winner is allowed to defend against Tyson, who wins to collect all the belts. Did you bet on Charles Martin (to become HW champion) several years ago ?oogiebe wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 13:30With all due respect, I have a house and a couple of cars to bet against this scenarios.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 13:17 A scenario that is at least somewhat possible: AJ-Wilder happens sooner than later, the winner is allowed to defend against Tyson, who wins to collect all the belts. No, I didn't. Please post your views not a questionnaire.ValMar wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 13:54Did you bet on Charles Martin (to become HW champion) several years ago ?oogiebe wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 13:30With all due respect, I have a house and a couple of cars to bet against this scenarios.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 13:17 A scenario that is at least somewhat possible: AJ-Wilder happens sooner than later, the winner is allowed to defend against Tyson, who wins to collect all the belts. Another way of wording this is "Do you think Anthony Joshua will possess 0 belts in the future?"
Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
I cannot see that even remotely possible. Comparing the two sets of relatives is a bit silly. On one is accusing either Fury of being an ATG. Not even close. Tyson is in enormous decline (one great fight really) due in part to the layoff and Hughie is just not that good.

Plus too many young and up and comers who are going to be better. (Kabayel; Schwarz maybe; Dubois; etc)oogiebe wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 14:10I cannot see that even remotely possible. Hell no. Not even a fraction of the discipline.
Re: Fury cousins as Klitschko brothers ?
The Klitschko's shared the top belts. Wladimir undersold himself a little. The winner of Joshua and Wilder holds all the belts. Not really a fair comparison, otherwise Joshua is already the top guy. He's done what Wladmir did, and Fury did it before him.fanman wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 10:46i dont think anyone serious would say that. ... you have to beat the man to be the man. fury beat klitschko, was it 2 or 3 years ago. he was the man. with fury retired, aj v wilder would unite all the belts and that guy would be the man. ... but now with fury coming back, he will say he is still the man! ... aj & wilder better fight soon whislt that bout is still hot!
The goal between these two now is to get all 5 of the belts, not just the four Wladimir held.
