Eubank v Watson on ppv

Apologies if this is already in another thread.

I heard today on Five Live that Eubank (now bankrupt?) is launching an online ppv of the Watson fight of 1991. He claims to be donating 50% of the proceeds to Michael and also has the approval of Michael Watson's trustees.
Eubank sounded genuine enough in the interview and claims the deal actually favours Watson better than himself.

I beleive the link is on Eubank's website but I cant find it via google.

The ethics on this one could be debated for a long time .

Saw this on the Sky News homepage earlier today. Don't really like the idea of it to be honest. It just leaves a bad taste so soon after those bankruptcy headlines. And I'm not sure I'd really like the idea of it despite them. Thumbs down for Eubank over here I'm afraid.

He claims it's for 'boxing fans' who have been denied all these years... get real, it's never been denied to boxing fans. He seems to be appealing to ghouls, which is what I don't like. :(

I guess this is his last resort for extra cash but I cant see many people paying £1.50 a round.

It's a real tacky stunt and Eubank must be getting desparate which is sad.

This is not to help Watson, who is hardly skint, but simply to help himself.

Boycott it I say.

Call it what you want, but I don't see threads here knocking the video/dvd dealers who advertise the fight on their lists in trade papers

Plenty of people sell it so why shouldn't Eubank, he fought in it after all... having said that I think it could have been advertised in a more tasteful manner... why doesn;t he show his other fights on the site too, like the Benn, Thompson and Collins fights etc which were all great fights... it is rather sad that Eubank seems to be desperate for cash...

I guess he saw an opening as that is the one fight that you are not able to buy anywhere as ITV owned the rights to it and decided to can it.
