The point is I can see loma hanging with 140 pounders, although size becomes even more of a problem. I don't see someone like broner having much chance with loma, even with his size. Its when you get to the top 147 pounders like Spence that you can say loma is a pretty heavy underdog.
140 lbs is pretty weak.

Not much reason to move up really.

Could be a good bet and hedge depending on dec or Ko odds, which I don't know.

Oscar congratulated Arum after and said it was a great fight and was good doing business with him. We could see more of this. Oscar uses ESPN just as much as Arum anway.

I think it's a good match up and it's a fight that surely has to happen. It's a 50 50 fight for me. Potential for a trilogy with those two.

Superior speed, timing, movement and perception versus greater size and strength. And that'll be the case for Loma against every top-class operator above his natural weight. At 140 I'd be worried about his presence tempting 147s back down.

I'm not fully up to speed on 135, but that seems okay as his upper limit?

135 is defo his limit imo, he was barely above that the next day and gave up a stone on the night, which is a load at lightweight. hell be giving away size to pretty much all the top lightweights. very short reach too

hes no more then average size at most at 130

Linares was able to drop Loma and I thought he hurt him in round 4. Mikey punches much harder than Linares, so the possibility of Mikey badly hurting Loma is real. From a stylistic point of view though, I think Garcia might suit Lomachenko more. Garcia is more textbook than Linares imo, his footwork/movement is always smooth but not quite as quick/fluid as Linares. He's also quite measured and looks to pick his punches, whereas Linares is happy to reel off 6 and 7 punch combinations and while they might not be as accurate as Mikey's 2's and 3's, they do keep the other guys hands at home.

While that patience is fine for Mikey against the inactive Broner who doesn't throw back, and while I trust that Mikey is smart enough to know that he can't stand in front of Loma for too long, Loma's quick feet and constant changing of angles might be the kryptonite for Garcia's patient approach. Unless, of course, Garcia is able to time the right hand like Linares did in the 6th as coming from Garcia that punch would surely do more damage.

I changed my mind about Linares Vs Campbell.
After seeing what it took to beat Linares, and how close Luke came to a draw or split draw, in what I think was way too soon for Campbell. Yeah, he did really well.

It's a good fight that I would struggle to pick a winner from, it will all come down to who gets their tactics right on the night.

Garcia will know that he wont be able to keep up with Loma's workrate so will have to pick his moments to throw shots and try to land them clean.

Loma will know that Garcia hits a lot harder than Linares, so will have to keep the concentration up for the full 12 rounds.

That's IF the fight happens, their is a notable natural size difference between them and weight classes exist for a reason.
