DeMarcus Corley v Vivian Harris

Post by Taansend »

Meet for the vacant American Boxing Federation Continental Americas Super Lightweight Title on July 21st in Memphis.

I can't f*cking wait :yay:

I actually liked both of these fighters. Corley, now 43 years old & 51(28)-29(7)-1, is on a one fight winning streak and beat Harris, 39 & 32(19)-12(9)-2, in May of last year (UD10). Harris hasn't fought since.

That fight was for the vacant Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) All America Welterweight Title & saw both fighters hit the deck.

Let's get it on.

Harris won the rematch which means they'll be a rubber match :yay:

Is that the one where Harris got sparked and Maussa hit him when he was on the floor?

I remember watching SSN the next day and Jim White said something hilarious after they showed the highlights.... In his pure cheesy voice... 'Hitting a man when he's down? I'll have to have a word with him later'

Harris was literally lying down on the f**king canvas when Maussa tried to crack him. Was only the fact the bottom rope was in the way that the punch didn’t land full force

Carlos Maussa, he was a mad bastard him, I was at the fight when Hatton poleaxed him.

I'm not surprised Corley is still fighting though, he's one tricky pudendum him, tough to hit clean.

Bit of a fan of his back in the early/mid 2000s. Never quite good enough to beat the top guys, but there’s no shame in that.

Always remember him rocking Mayweather to his boots in their fight (lost every other second of the fight though!)
