I am a professional Bodyguard who has seen protective detail worldwide. I recently returned from duty in Somalia where I have been protecting a member of the South African Congress. My details was to ensure the safety of my Principle (client) along with his family who were subject to Kidnap and Ransom,

I was on details for 6 weeks and was under immense pressure to keep my clients safe and secure.

I am firearms trained, both automatic, semi-automatic weapons, defibrillator trained, cannula trained and trauma trained. I am Krav Maga trained, I am an evasive and defensive driver, I plan extensively, have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Most of all I am a discreet professional, no camera or accolades for me, just pay my bill and the job is done.

This muppet “Andy Brown” is an embarrassment to the Close Protection Industry, he’s a jumped up wannabe who is probably paid a minimum salary compared to pro BG’s on the ground.

He really believes in his own hype and just loves the camera, his wife or partner must really be embarrassed and ashamed of his wannabe antics.

I’m on a 2 week rest period before I head out to Afghanistan to protect a detail of US engineers (Private Sector) I’m a personal and I have a team of 5 ex recon marines as advanced party.

I agree with your comments, it’s more of a ego thing or a fashion accessory.

Professional Bodyguards are tasked to protect when there is a risk to life, or a Kidnap and Ransom possibility.

Andy Wannabee Brown likes to let his face in the cameras as much as possible, I don’t quite get it.

If a stalker or someone wants to take a VIP out, the BG is the first port of call. Take him/her out and your job is a lot easier.

The BG needs to be very low profile to enable him or her to deliver when the going get tough.
