Yeah, I put no stock into those punch stat numbers whatsoever. It's inconceivable that Linares landed more. The harder shots? Sure. More punches total? Not a chance.

If the statcast was accurate we'd need no judges (even though many judges suck the proverbial moose cocks)Abradolf Lincler wrote: ↑16 May 2018, 09:11 Yeah, I put no stock into those punch stat numbers whatsoever. Regardless of stats being accurate or not, we should never judge a round based on who landed or had a better % rate in a round.oogiebe wrote: ↑16 May 2018, 09:12If the statcast was accurate we'd need no judges (even though many judges suck the proverbial moose cocks)Abradolf Lincler wrote: ↑16 May 2018, 09:11 Yeah, I put no stock into those punch stat numbers whatsoever. Never judge ONLY on those stats. They are a part of scoring but not the only thing: Punches landed; Ring Generalship; who's the aggressor; etc.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑16 May 2018, 10:59Regardless of stats being accurate or not, we should never judge a round based on who landed or had a better % rate in a round.oogiebe wrote: ↑16 May 2018, 09:12If the statcast was accurate we'd need no judges (even though many judges suck the proverbial moose cocks)Abradolf Lincler wrote: ↑16 May 2018, 09:11 Yeah, I put no stock into those punch stat numbers whatsoever. Some land the majority of their punches in certain select rounds. So your logic is good. You can outland someone, and easily win less rounds. In this case though the guy repeatedly was out landed in the power punch department round after round. I think he was ahead, but not by much.Abradolf Lincler wrote: ↑16 May 2018, 09:11 Yeah, I put no stock into those punch stat numbers whatsoever. It's inconceivable that Linares landed more. Agreed. But being aggressive doesn't matter, when your sucking up one punch after another.oogiebe wrote: ↑16 May 2018, 14:19Never judge ONLY on those stats. LMAO!!! no doubt...ring generalship doesn't mean good ring generalship when you're eating combination after combination. 100% I just mentioned a couple of things that judges look for in the pros.MrGuy wrote: ↑16 May 2018, 19:14Agreed.
