Yeah, I put no stock into those punch stat numbers whatsoever. It's inconceivable that Linares landed more. The harder shots? Sure. More punches total? Not a chance.

If the statcast was accurate we'd need no judges (even though many judges suck the proverbial moose cocks)
Regardless of stats being accurate or not, we should never judge a round based on who landed or had a better % rate in a round.

Never judge ONLY on those stats. They are a part of scoring but not the only thing: Punches landed; Ring Generalship; who's the aggressor; etc.

Some land the majority of their punches in certain select rounds. So your logic is good. You can outland someone, and easily win less rounds. In this case though the guy repeatedly was out landed in the power punch department round after round. I think he was ahead, but not by much.

Agreed. But being aggressive doesn't matter, when your sucking up one punch after another.

LMAO!!! no doubt...ring generalship doesn't mean good ring generalship when you're eating combination after combination. 100% I just mentioned a couple of things that judges look for in the pros.
