Hearn is obviously happy with the 50 million.
Joshua is happy with the 50 million.
Negotiations are taking place so obviously proof of the 50 million have been made.
So why the hell does anyone care if Haymon, Hearn or the Vegas backers lose their shirt?

Just get excited about the fight coming to fruition
Well said. Does it matter where the fight is held on account of which fighter has the biggest bollocks? Does it matter who gets paid more or who is the fecking a or b side? Not to me. Let's just get the fight on.

I won't lie I do like to see the fighters purses.
But I could care less where the promoters or investors get the money from.

I’ve always found it curious that Americans say ‘I could care less’ when they mean ‘I couldn’t care less’.

I have only a passing interest in the purses. I like to watch fights and that is about two guys standing in the ring waiting for the bell to ring.

Managers, promoters and trainers are being made out to be stars these days. As Angelo Dundee used to say when people tried to give him the star treatment - "When the bell rings I get out out of the ring."

Agreed. I don't get the guys who want to make sure that Hearn and Haymon other people get paid well. F*ck that side of it. I'm not a chartered accountant. I just want to see the fights happen.

Yep. I don't begrudge them the money. But I am not going to waste my time arguing day after day who should get paid what, like some do.

Vegas could make a fortune off this fight.
The high rollers will be in.
Also let’s not forget Vegas and The MGM grand have built a reputation of being the fight capital of the world. Big fights elsewhere in the world put a dent in that.
MGM May even take a loss on this fight as it cements their fight hotel reputation and will make it still synonymous with big fights.

Elton, Britney etc get paid millions a week. The casinos take a loss but you can’t put a price on the money they make off the back of the ‘reputation’ and ‘buzz’ it creates.

Could AJ flying to the states as per his social media indicate something isn't far from being agreed/announced.

What makes the money question important is the fact that if there is no money there will not be a fight. If the money is there the fight will happen.

The money being there or not depends on whether or not the promoters can get the casuals on board. Wilder is still quite unknown. No PPV fights so far. Joshua is really big in UK but has no PPV fights in states.

Will the casuals buy it?

If Wilder had just couple of more credible wins it would be certainty. Wilder is on the brink of being PPV star.

The problem is they can't really delay the AJ fight for those few more wins since Wilder can loose at any time. He was seconds away from eating the bullet against Ortiz.

So the fight needs to happen now. If the casuals get in the train this could be the next Mayweather McGregor style event. Obviously smaller but close to that scale anyways.

Except nobody has demonstrated how.
You spent about 5 pages on the last thread arguing the same and ridiculing Wilder's bid as not genuine.
Joshua's promoter has repeatedly said that the fight makes more in the States but you still won't have it.

Decision time for AJ. Does he man up or is it going to be the swerve for the easy pickings in Cardiff?
Man up

There's arguments for both sides but saying AJ needs to man up or he's swerving is pathetic Doofus.
Pathetic or true?

I would expect something called boxing news to be more objective on subject like this.

That article was total crap. That was like reading three page article from EO :witzend:

That article is pathetic. Trying to portray Wilder as a take on all comers type. He was fighting no hopes in eight rounders at the same stage that Joshua was fighting Klitschko.

In fairness to him he was prepared to fight Povetkin in Moscow. Hearn has said Joshua will probably relinquish if he has to do that.
