Whereas Crolla is rewarded for his 4 losses and a draw at lower level.
British Top 30 P4P May 2018
Re: British Top 30 P4P May 2018
Josh Taylor
Viktor Postol
Miguel Vazquez
Ohara Davies
Dave Ryan
Winston Campos
Warren Joubert
Alfonso Olvera
Evincii Dixon
Lyes Chaibi
Adam Mate
A dominant performance might make a top 10 spot a possibility, but his record would still be very thin for a member of the top 10.
Davies and Ryan were basically upper English title level opponents and they're two of his top 5 wins. His bottom 5 wins are basically low ranked journeymen.
It just seems too early really even if he gets a world class win against Postol.

Thinner than a guy that hasn't fought in years, and is inactive by any measure?Horse wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 15:34Josh Taylor

Very deep and it's been pretty similar for a few years now.keirw wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 11:02 Even though I disagree with a few of the rankings, I do always enjoy seeing Horse's top 30. He clearly puts a lot of effort into it.
It also shows the depth there is in British boxing.
Good domestic/euro level fighters like Callum Johnson, Hughie Fury, John Ryder, Tommy Langford, Martin J Ward and Jack Catterall can't even make the top 30.
Highly rated prospects like Andrew Selby, Josh Kelly and Anthony Yarde don't make it in either.
There just isn't enough room for them all.
If they could get more active and step it up more often then maybe we could have a golden age or something.

It is a shallow resume, but Vasquez
and Postol would put him top #4-5 internationally. Maybe without a belt, but the guys with belts would have lost to Crawford like Postol and probably couldn't beat Postol on his best day.
Anyway, it's conjecture for now and the fight is a way off.
Re: British Top 30 P4P May 2018
vasquez was a good win for a newer pro like taylor but lets be real, vasquez was a career lightweight whod probably seen slightly better days. it wasnt some excellent 140 win. vasquez has never beaten anyone of note at 140
postol, i saw his last fight and he looked super vulnerable and was down hard vs some non descript regional fighter, though he did still win. hes well established at 140 and has still only lost to crawford, so a win over him should still rank highly at 140 , but i can see why taylor would still be boarderline for the british top 10 when you consider that he doesnt have a hell of a lot other aside from postol (on a brit p4p level)

Re: British Top 30 P4P May 2018
Khan's had his comeback now. His opponent wasn't total garbage on paper and he looked pretty good. He'll have to fight better than that bloke to climb much higher, but he belongs on the list in my opinion.
Ryder, Fury and Tennyson will probably enter next month.
If Leather beats Davies next month then he might enter. It might still be too early for him to enter the rankings even with that win though.
