I've had a look at the IBF rankings and they look pretty uninspiring for the most part.

Kid Galahad - IBF No. 3
Genesis Servania - IBF No. 12, did pretty well against WBO champ Valdez last year
Lee Selby - Rematch, assume he will get an IBF ranking next month

Carl Frampton - WBO Interim Champ
Oscar Valdez - WBO Champ
Gary Russell Jr - WBC Champ
Leo Santa Cruz - WBA Champ
Abner Mares - WBA Interim Champ

Evgeny Gradovich - Former IBF champ, inactive, unranked
Viorel Simion - Inactive, unranked
Nonito Donaire - Unranked, lost last fight
Ryan Walsh - Unranked, British, drew last fight
Scott Quigg - Unranked, British, Hearn, lost last fight and came in heavy
Reece Bellotti - Unranked, British, Hearn
Isaac Lowe - Unranked, British, drew last fight


I assume that he'll probably be fighting one of the weakest IBF ranked fighters available. Which is fine if the fight is soon and he's ready to fight someone better after that.

Galahad is an obvious fight to make and if Ryan Walsh is still promoted by Warren then that's another obvious one.

If they decide to take on a proper world class opponent then Frampton is clearly the best opponent to take on, but I don't see that happening this year.

Galahad hasnt mixed with much since 2014 seems a good choice for another all British money spinner.

Warrington only been out of the country once in his career upto now and could see this fight doing well money wise.

I'd actually prefer for that fight to be delayed until next year.

Right now it wouldn't be a unification and Warrington hasn't established himself as a world champion yet.

Would really like to see the Frampton fight but realistically it is too soon isn't it? He would need a break and then a 12 week camp that doesn't fit in with Frampton wanting his outdoor show.

I like the Valdez fight for Frampton but that's not gonna be in August I wouldn't have thought.

Warrington deserves a voluntary next to be fair to him. Quigg would be a right tear up but Frank will probably dig up someone unheard of.

there will be a FW reign of terror now.Bring over some of that top 15 of the IBF until they mandate someone like Galahad and they can look to unify instead.

for what its worth i think Gary Russell,Oscar Valdez and Carl Frampton would all beat Warrington.The Valdez fight would be the closest fight imo.

Galahad is a good first defence. He's not as skilful as Selby but he'll be stronger at the weight and could cause a few problems.

I’d like to see Galahad earn his shot and fight perhaps the likes of Quigg.

I would imagine Warrington would take some quality time out with the two recent additions to his family.
I can see him having an easier defence at Leeds arena followed by another big stadium fight this time next year back at Elland Road.

I don’t see the Frampton fight in the immediate future as it would be a security nightmare keeping both sets of fanatical fans apart .

In fairness to Warrington, he's stepped up and taken a fight that probably 90% of the boxing public thought he would lose. I don't mind him having a few easy defences. He can keep on improving.
