Where is David Haye?

Post by Controversial »

Two weeks since the fight and silence from Haye. No posts on social media (apart from congratulating Bellew), no mention of retiring, no press conference after the fight or news in general. Odd, I would have put money on him retiring straight away, his silence could suggest he may not.

Probably sorting his finances.

Looking for Joyce's next opponent.

Could be anything.

Probably contemplating his own mortality.
Another crushing defeat had to be a humbling experience.

He'd still be a good opponent for Tyson Fury.

He's be much better than Sefer Seferi, even if he came to the ring limping, with no effort whatsoever to hide that he was completely finished in the build-up.

Can't see Fury or his team entertaining him after all the messing about in the past.

And again, his silence may indicate he is going to retire. It's a tough decision for an athlete to make, particularly one who had some limelight.

With all the nonsense from Fury over the last couple of years; he's in no position to get on his high horse about anything.

It's a great risk vs reward fight and they can always have a back up opponent on the undercard if he pulls out again. No real reason for them to bitch and moan about Haye anymore.

They can do what they want, one or two fights against anybody and they will walk in to a title shot against AJ

Doesn't David have a pad in Cyprus and connections with the Island .....seem to remember he often went over there?
Would not be surprised if he is simply enjoying some poolside R & R in the Med and Twitter can take a back seat.

I could see him giving Hughie a few educational rounds and maybe clipping him a couple of times but really what is the point in doing that at 37 and for the British title.........unless you've got the taxman breathing down your neck?

He's skint and is probably working out how much cash is left over aftet the Bellew beating before he decides if he's going to try one more time.
At British level to start. Dave Allen, when Hughie vacates setting him up for a WBO International showdown with Hughie.

Think he left Cyprus when they had a financial crisis a few years ago.

Maybe he had investments there and that gave him money issues ??

There is no way that Tyson would sign up for this fight (unless there was a guaranteed transfer in a solicitors bank account that he would get paid if the fight went ahead or not).

Sitting at home counting his money I'd imagine. That's what I'd be doing if I were him. Why does he need to be anywhere in particular?

I think that was more to do with Adam Booth as he has Cypriot blood, Haye used to go out there with him and ended up building a gym. That was years ago, not sure he still has it, he used to wear the Cypriot flag on his shorts.

He was skint.

After the two Bellew circus acts, I’d imagine he’s far from skint now.

He's probably a famous enough name that he could appear on "Dancing with the Stars" or "Celebrity Big Brother" or some other such horsesh*t I'd imagine huh?

That'd surely get you some money.

After his pudendum like performance on IACGMOOH I doubt he'll be in demand.
