Wow..a boxer born in 1993 is 24-25 already. That's a pretty high upper age limit...

In terms of accomplishments already it would have to be Gervonta Davis or David Benavidez, both world champs. Based on slightly tougher competition I'd give it to Davis.

In terms of potential to be a multi-weight champion I would give it to Shak Stevenson, who has been pro less than a year but has potential to eventually win world belts at 126-140. Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia are both just 19 and I could see them eventually winning multi-weight titles as well.

I dont see Davis winning world titles above 135 due to his lack of height. Benavidez could win as high as 175 but no higher IMO.

Lots of other good prospects from all over the globe who are age 20 or less. That's a separate thread:

I'm not seeing anything at all with Stevenson. No power whatsoever. I remember one of his TKO's the referee had to help him get it by waving it off. Kid is going nowhere unless the FW division becomes garbage by the time he steps up.

Beg to differ on Stevenson. Of course he has no punching power...he is as feather-fisted as they come. :OhYes:

That's no secret, but that's not his game. He is a slick-boxing speedster in the Mayweather mold. Not saying he will be anywhere near as good as Mayweather, but that's his style. If he has even one-half of the dedication Mayweather did to his craft then Shakur will make impact at 126 and even higher. Stevenson says his favorite fighter is Andre Ward, so dont be too surprised if he adopts some of Ward's "clutch and grab" tactics as his career develops.

Unlike some of Arum's fighters he is already being brought along slowly and will continue to be spoonfed for as long as necessary. Dont expect him to be going for any world titles until he is about 23-24 with a record of about 25-0.

His silver medal at the Rio Olympics was no fluke...he's won gold at every other international competition he's fought in: 2013 World Junior (Under-17) Championships, 2014 World Youth Olympics, 2014 World Youth (Under-19) Championships and 2016 Americas Olympic Qualifier. So he's got a solid foundation and I expect him to be competing for world belts around 2022 or so against the likes of Michael Conlan, Ruben Villa, etc.

Time will tell... :TU:

Gervonta Davis: As of today? No doubt. This young man is only getting better.
