Everything was too one sided for me. Stevenson won the first half of the fight, just off work rate and Jack doing nothing. Jack won the second half of the fight from Stevenson being tanked and old. The only good part of the fight were rounds 10-12, to see Stevenson turn it around with the body shot, win a round having nothing left, almost stopped at the end, etc. Even with all that, it wasn't enough to excuse the overall shyt of the fight, or the bad ref job that guy always outs up.

had him pretty much sweeping the first half and then 10 and 11. but can see draw or close jack. im surprised at how many ppl gave jack the 10th when he was badly hurt. he hadnt really been having a huge round up to that point to compensate for it imo.

also i enjoyed it. it wasnt an absolute war but it was super competitive and had some good momentum swings, with adonis controlling early and hurting jack in the 6th, then jack suddenly coming on and looking like he may run away with it or even stop adonis, then adonis coming back to hurt jack pretty good and do well in 10 and 11.

i enjoyed it. i think though for some ppl there was expectation of a knockout and also maybe the draw they find disappointing

It was the first 2 rounds (which Sky team awarded to Jack) I thought he did jack shît and those were Adonis rounds.

Adonis won the fight on the last round on my card.

I had jack winning By one or two. Draw I wouldn’t argue with. Some of the rounds were messy, close and hard to score. Felt like Adonis worked harder...but missed more and was landing on jacks blocker/guard.

For a few of the rounds...the middle to late rounds jack was putting a beating on Adonis. He came back to his credit and hurt jack to the body. Jack stole the last round for me.

Thought the fight was a very decent watch. Surprised that people are calling it a snooze fest. Unfortunately jack looked very cautious even fearful early on, he did eventually get a hold of it but that lack of confidence cost him early rounds.

Adonis..although I had him losing performed unbelievably well for a 40 year old. Early on he looked dangerous and awkward to land on. He threw volume and power shots. Thought he was close to being stopped but fought through it bringing himself back into it.

No doubt a younger version would have beaten jack.

I thought Jack nicked it by a score of 115-113 last night but after rewatching with a more critical eye today I scored it again at 115-114 for Stevenson. So, I feel a draw was a fair call.
Sure, Jack won the second half of the fight more convincingly than Stevenson did the first half but I don't know how Jack figured he was going to win the title by not really beginning to fight until the seventh round. Just like in his fight with James Degale Jack fought too conservatively during the first half of the fight & was playing a game of catch up for the remainder of the fight. Yeah, he almost closed the show in the final round but he ran out of time. Plus getting hurt at the end of round 10 & losing the 11th really cost him.

In a stand offish start Stevenson looked more eager in a fight short of action during the opening couple of rounds.
By the end of the 4th there were still no signs of commitment from either, Jack looked unsettled while Stevenson was too hesitant and with those ingredients it was hardly surprising what it had produced.
The 5th was the clearest round so far as Stevenson pressed forward, Jack retreated wrestling and holding for much of the time due to a lack of ideas and willingness to take control of the fight.
It lit up in the 6th as Jack came to life early although Stevensons response was equal if not better and as the round came to a close Jacks token effort wasn't enough to win him the session.
Round 7 was Jacks best so far as he let his hands go scoring consecutively and clearly stunning Stevenson at one point, Stevenson weathered that storm but more was to come in the 8th and 9th as Jack continued his drive forward while Stevenson was content to hold and box on the back foot showing signs of tiring.
In an otherwise even round a Stevenson body punch during the 10th swung the momentum back in his favour, Jack was hurt but had enough in him to make it to the bell.
Stevenson started the 11th where he left off in the previous round and went after the body, Jack took heavy shots survived and managed to score himself as Stevensons gas tank depleted toward the close.
The 12th was untidy as a tired Stevenson was holding frequently, Jack rallied late and edged the round.

Round 10 I can see as an even round, although I wouldn't score to Stevenson as I don't think one good shot totally negates Jack's work earlier in the round. The rest of the rounds were easy to score, although 2, 3 and 4 were close. If you give the first to either fighter, you're bending over backwards. I stand by the 10-10 there.

Not a great fight though. Ring mag called it a fight of the year candidate. It had a couple of moments of drama late on, but it certainly wasn't that.

Agreed. Adonis didn't deserve to keep his belt Saturday. The problem is, Jack didn't deserve to take it either.

I think that some people were being sarcastic. Some boxing scribes even claimed that it was a FOTY candidate.

I didn't think it was quite as good as that, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable bout.
