It’s definitely true about the Fury fight, haven’t seen any confirmation about the BJS fight though. We’re having a moan on the B&I forum about it, come on over :TU:

The BJS fight is on BT Sports. I saw the schedule after the Warrington/Selby fight. I’m not sure where that leaves Boxingnation. Not sure why it keeps changing the channel to allegedly... I thought that was only preset to F Warren.

Is it exclusively BT Sports though? Most of the UK shows have been on BN & BT at the same time, the Fury one is the first one where BT has exclusive coverage.

No, it’s not exclusive to BT Sports. The Fury one is. I hadn’t realised that BT and BN had broadcasting the same fights. That’s seems a bit odd. I would cancel my BN subscription but it’s only £15 a month and I make a pretty penny.

It might be too late for there to be any US television.

But some website will hopefully stream it. I saw a few fights from the UK on BadLeftHook a few months back.

What a terrible match up.
I didn't expect Fury to fight any of the top boxers but this is lunacy.

Tyson's doing it for a kilo of Colombia's finest. Seferi, for a free boat trip and a dodgy brown envelope to ease his path through customs.

I didn’t. I heard rumours it was a 39 year old Macedonian but nothing confirmed. In all honesty, I rather see him fight Ronnie O’Sullivan.
The Macedonian himself confirmed it and I posted to this forum the interview transcript where he stated this. It wasn't a rumour.

Much better opponent than I thought it would be. He is obviously small but he went 10 with Charr and he is top 100, most fights that top 10 fighters have are not against top 100 fighters.

For what it's worth, Boxrec gives Fury-Seferi and Foreman-Zouski both 2 stars.

Zouski being GF's 1st opponent after his 10 year layoff.

I have never heard for Seferi, and I live not so far from Macedonia.
Fury's next opponent ought to be someone from the top 15 (let us say Pulev or Breazeale), and Joshua-Wilder winner in 2019.

If he wants to stay worldwide recognized, beloved and popular, he has to face a serious opponent after Seferi.
I can imagine the exception - Briggs, but he is well known, at least.

He needs work. Fighting a CW wouldn't have been my choice had it been up to me.

I'll give Fury a pass here. He's getting his toe wet.

If he fights regularly and/or drastically steps up the competition, it could be forgivable.

As Fury loves to compare himself to Muhammad Ali, pause for laughter, he should know fully well that when Ali returned after his 3 1/2 years exile he chose to do so against Gerry Quarry, ranked no less than 2 or 3 in the world.

He should also bear in mind that Ali was never the same upon his return. Getting back into shape is one thing, getting his metabolism back into shape is another.

Despite his usual hyperbolic rhetoric the choice of opposition here speaks volumes about his confidence levels.

And Ali, as a Muslim, lived a clean lifestyle during his 3 1/2 year banishment.

No alcohol or drugs to dissipate his body.

Obviously you can't say that about Fury. There's no telling how much of a toll his lifestyle has taken on him physically.

One of the problems with Seferi is that they chose a cruiserweight. If a bigger, but less talented fighter was selected, fans might not be mocking the matchup as much.

But it seems like Warren is going out of his way to protect a 6'9" 260 lb. ex-champion by feeding him a virtual midget in comparison.

It gives fans the impression that Warren has little faith in Fury at this point.

I remember him being floored by a "virtual midget in comparison" mind you Cunningham was a far different proposition to Seferi.

I have to admit I expected his comeback opponent to be less than formidable, but I did think that the average boxing fan would at least know who he was

Obviously Cunningham was a much more accomplished fighter than Seferi.

But the knockdown Fury suffered against Cunningham, has since ignited questions about the quality of his chin.

I don't think Seferi can provide answers or come close to duplicating what Cunningham did.

What doesn't sit right with me is all the bravado after the Joshua - Parker fight, where he claimed he'd do them both on the same night, yet when he actually gets in the ring he serves up this rubbish.
