The next undisputed champion (deadline December 2019) ?

Post by ValMar »

WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO.......
What do you predict ? Why ?
Naturally, the first undisputed champion should be Usyk-Gassiev winner, but as I know, Usyk is injured, so nobody knows if this fight happen soon.............

Kinda obvious, it's Usyk or Gassiev this summer, cause the fight is likely to happen. Voted for Usyk.

even with the possible caveats (injury, location) its hard for me to see how usyk or gassiev arent still the most likely.

wilder-josh i dont think happens next, seems like typical big fight that will take a while

loma and garcia still only have one belt each and are at least 2 fights away

golovkin i think will fight canelo before saunders

spence only has one belt and now no one else at 147 has more then one belt

the path to undisputed is shortest for usyk/gassiev

Lomachenko-Beltran and Garcia-Easter might be a very possible scenario, and winners next.
Opening this post, I wrote that Usyk-Gassiev fight is questionable just now. I expect this match will be postponed.

it may be postponed but i think for all the others your looking at a longer time frame. spence, and loma/garcia would for sure need multiple fights to get there. and i dont think ggg-saunders or aj-wilder will happen next

so even with gass-usyk issues i dont see how its not still frontrunner

You might be right, but I have to remind you this : Loma's next opponent will be Beltran (90%), and Mikey's next opponent will be Easter (95%)..............

ya but thats still one set of fights that has to happen and will take a few months, and then they will have to work on a deal to get the winners to fight, and that could be another several months and might not actually happen at all right after. dan rafael says he doesnt think garcia-loma ever happens

usyk-gass on the other hand is supposed to be the next fight for each of them. i wouldnt think it would take longer to happen then it would for loma-beltran/garcia-easter + the winners of those fights facing off

so basically, unless gas-usyk gets cancelled im pretty confident it will happen before any other fights for all the bellts. the wbss format also means there wont be a draw, whereas it could happen in the other fights to prevent an undisputed champ (though draws are on the lower side of probability )

OK, this is a very realistic opinion. If I may choose, I will prefer to see Joshua-Wilder, of course.....than winner vs Fury........

Probably Joshua followed by Hurd are most likely. Not that I consider any of it very likely.
