Premier league darts sells like that
It doesn’t, nowhere near. Maybe over hours. This was done in seconds. Premier league darts you’ll get for face value on resale, last time I looked £40’s were doing £200. Down from £300.
It did at the start, put darren till on once a year and watch hiw the sales start to slow after a couple of years, also if Till was in cage warriors it wouldnt of sold as good imho

Some people must be absolutely lamping on Till now. Wonderboy was 4/7 yesterday. 10/11 the pair now.

The NFL comparison works. UFC is still something of an occasional event in the UK whereas there's so much boxing you couldn't get to every show.

Compare attendance and sales for the League 1 playoff final and the Wembley NFL game and you could think NFL was the more popular sport. It isn't.

Would they play a third tier American Football game at Wembley? Really? Or a League 1 play off final at an NFL stadium. I think you’re cracking up.

You've missed the point again Mick. The point is UFC is a one-off and as such sells well. Till may have sold out the Echo Arena quickly but in the greater scheme of things boxing is miles more popular in this country.

I dont know the numbers but dave price was selling out the echo before pimblett and till, also paul smith vs tony dodson and the other tony from liverpool, keep forgetting his second name, they both sold out the echo. Could be to do with tv,if bellew, the smiths, price, dodd wasnt on sky or any other tv station would more ppl turn out to watch them live? Most mma cards arnt on tv so if you dont watch it live you will find out the result before its on t.v,as for ufc like a few ppl have said there are fans of ufc in general so ppl from across britain will come to watch it at the echo because its ufc not for any particular fighter :TU:
Who did pricey sell the echo out against? Thompson fights were in Aintree weren't they? Doubt he sold arenas out after them
Both thompson fights in the echo arena, audley and skelton was in aintree mate
Fair play. My memory let me down ha

Its laughable to assume that Till is in any meaningful way responsible for ticket sales, that's all down to the UFC brand. People are buying tickets to see an event particularly as its the first show in Liverpool rather than Till himself.

Till is no doubt a promising prospect who may go on to be a star but presently the highlight of his UFC career is beating a clearly shot Cerrone & bragging about how much weight he cuts to give himself a significant advantage over opponents.

Dont forget cerrone is a lightweight 155lb and fought a massive till who,in an interview with bellew and nick pete, said he is 190lb in the cage come fight time so he was about 25/30lb heavier than cerrone that night cause i doubt cowboy got anywere near 180lb never mind 190 within 24hours.

Mick is abit blind to the fact that ufc sold out the echo not till which a good few ppl have pointed out to him over the last few days but he is hell bent on saying "till has broke records with the ticket sales" YO WAKE UP,UFC SOLD THE ECHO OUT NOT TILL :TU:

Yeah the odds are crazy. He has his hands full with Thompson and should get completely outclassed and kicked to death. I've placed 200 quid on Thompson now

Are the odds that generous.

Surely if it is a mismatch the odds will be extreme

As I said before, Thompson has proven himself to be number 2 in the division with a draw vs the champ and a very close loss. He just outclassed Gamebred who is a serious fighter and for my money better than Till. Certainly more proven. And Thompson put on a clinic. It's the equivalent of Yarde stepping up to fight Kovalev in terms of what they've proven in the Octagon. Till was all at sea in the third round vs a guy called Nicholas Dalby who ended up losing the rest of his fights and getting cut from the UFC. He also went the distance with two fairly low level guys and just came off a stoppage against a shopworn guy he outweighed and who Gamebred had given a good hiding to previously. Thompson was 4/7 yesterday but it looks like patriotic money has come on Till. I honestly don't expect Till to have a modicum of success in the fight. I haven't got a clue how Till wins. Thompson is good with his hands as well. See how he creates the angle for this knockdown. This was against a high level opponent.

I thought Thompson won that fight clearly, but Till showed he's quality (even if he should probably be fighting a weight division up.)

Agreed. I had Thompson 3-2 up. No idea how one of the judges had Till by 4 rounds to 1.

Thompson won the fight but he should have pulled out when till took the piss with his weight. Once I saw that I traded out of my bet because the last 12 fighter who missed weight and still went through with the fight have won. Its a massive advantage in mma, especially for someone like Till

Disgusting that Till missed weight Again and still got to fight with the advantage of not having drained his body. Then gets a clear gift home town decision.

Have to agree on all counts. I wanted him to win, but really disappointed with the manner of it. Also very poor form from some of the Brit journalists to just brush the weight issue under the carpet.

I don’t know about in the UK but on the world scene MMA seems to be struggling. The one UFC star McGregor has no ground game and how many times has he even defended his title.? The two great stars Anderson Silva and George St Pierre are done at the top level or retired. Japanese rivals Pride were bought out by UFC so things have faded over there. I’m sure I am simplifying.

So they are looking for attention. Also I recall Ronda Rousey trying to crossover and win over boxing fans, hitting the heavy bag in front of Mike Tyson etc etc, before she was annihilated by a decorated ex boxer considered damaged in her main sport, Holly Holm.

This bloke beating AJ in a street fight is as much fantasy as Ronda Rousey beating Floyd in a street fight.

Did you see him panicking when he got a little poke to the eye?

6ft and 200lbs might seem like a big man but the reality is AJ is 6ft6 and 250lbs ffs.

AJ has longer arms then this guy has legs, and would clean him up with a stiff jab.

I'm not a MMA fan and don't know much about it. However I watched the Till fight and it was one of the most boring sporting events I've ever seen.

If MMA fights are like that. I'd rather go back to watching paint dry.
