What 'behaviour' am I accepting?
Boxing isn't like football where you have guaranteed home and away fixtures. In general the biggest name gets the home fight. Earns more money, fights better names, has more titles, picks up millions more PPVs and draws tens of thousands more tickets. The biggest name in the fight is Joshua.
And also the biggest name in your bedroom. You're obsessed with the man!
But in other cases the fight goes to where the money is. Your hero named his price but now he's looking for a way out.
He'll be remembered as the Sven Ottke of the heavyweights unless he fights a live opponent under the age of 41.

If money isn't the issue then if AJ wants the fight in the UK and why not he is the one with 3 of the 4 major belts, the recognised number 1 heavyweight. Offer wilder the fight as 50/50.
Something about finkel cancelling meetings suggests they weren't ready to make the offer.
But now the PR is well and truly on their side and it looks like AJ is ducking.
The offer looked like a cowboy outfit joke given it was offered on an 'accept within 24 hours' basis. Nobody in any scenario does serious business like that.

As said it goes to where the A side wants it to.
This is Wilder's problem. For all the talk of how big this will be in the US and how many PPV's it'll do Wilder is a nobody in his own country. Joshua has alternatives which can make him big money and ultimately in the UK the Fury fight is unquestionably bigger.

But why should AJ travel?
Surely wilder will also look like a poor champ if he never goes abroad to challenge to unified champion?

Regardless of that, the PR it has generated has made wilder look great and AJ look poor.
Imo it should be the champion that is the A side, and in this instance AJ has 3 belts, wilder has 1. So AJ has the sway.
Eddie needs to sort this shit out and get the fight made.
@nitro I completely agree that it needs to happen.
Ultimately if it doesn't happen you'll get both sides blaming the other. Wilder's team will say they made a gigantic offer which was knocked back. Joshua's team will say they were the name in the fight and therefore they had the right to say when and where the fight takes place.
What happens afterwards will illustrate who was more on the money. Wilder will go back to nothing fights earning a million or so. Joshua will go back to stadiums building up to Fury.
So, what’s happened to the “let’s roll”?
Camp Eddie has confirmed the money is there, it’s not a problem for him if the fight loses money. Why has AJ changed it to “I’ll only roll in The Uk”?. Eddie has also confirmed 15,000 in Vegas will generate the same gate receipts as 90,000 at Wembley. What is the issue? He is meant to be a WORLD champion. Wilder has boxed here, Tyson boxed abroad (Mike and Fury), Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Duran, Leonard, Hearns....

Joshua was at the Warriors vs Rockets NBA basketball game last night. They showed him on the big screen. Maybe he's over to work on the fight. Maybe not. The fact is he went on and ran his mouth about the fight, got an offer that Hearn said was legit and then seemingly has turned down the offer. Maybe they will iron out a deal. Wilder will have no problems travelling I'm sure, as he was going to do as much vs Povetkin. I'd bet Wilder is prepared to come to the UK with a fair offer and no flat fee bullsh*t. Calling Joshuas bluff has definitely worked in Wilders favour.
I agree with you that Joshua has come off badly to anyone outside of Britain. Even Hearn had no excuses left and had to leave it to Joshua to decide. I think we will get this fight next. Hearn tried to come in with a BS flat fee and got played and realized the likes of Haymon and Showtime have no problem backing Wilder. Can't play with the like of Haymon and Showtime with garbage offers like that - you will get called out and embarrassed in return. Hearn looked like a deer in the headlights when he simply said "It's up to AJ now". Now they are probably going to negotiate properly and get the fight done. I think both fighters do want it, albeit Joshua seems to be particular about the location.

do american casuals not already think wilder is the man? im not sure to what extent they even know or care about joshua, his american tv numbers sure aint high
i just dont think americans care that much these days. wilder ktfos everyone, talks big, 6'7 , american olympian, etc and hes still not a big star on ppvs not remotely close to being mainstream in the us.. in the us hes maybe on a similar level as golovkin , although ggg has earned more

Hearn has confirmed that the offer is genuine. But you know this as you've been told many times.
Your excuses are coming across as pretty desperate now.

Joshua looks like turning down $50m for Wilder. If Fury gets back to 80% of what he was your pin-up boy will price himself out of that fight as well.

Joshua may end up turning the fight down in America. Wilder may end up being the guy who was willing to travel to the UK to fight Audley Harrison but unwilling to do the same for Anthony Joshua.
Wilder needs a fight like this to happen because he's been an active top level heavyweight for years now and his biggest win was Luis Ortiz. He's talked Klitschko, and Fury, and Povetkin, and Joshua, and Parker. He's fought none of them. 40 fights and he's been in with two men who won a world title - both of whom lost it in their first fight. His record for a 40 fight title holder is very weak.
AJ is the CLEARLY better boxer and despite what people think I think AJ is much stronger than Wilder. AJ comes in around 250, 260 pounds. Wilder came in at 219 against Ortiz. AJ will outbox Wilder in every way possible, on all fronts.
Of course there's the x-factor, Wilder's right hand and AJ's glass chin. Parker flushed AJ and stunned him senseless with a minor uppercut on the back foot in their fight. I don't think Parker realized AJ was stunned because AJ stuck his hand out front and kind of tried playing it off, so Parker didn't go for the kill. But if Wilder lands that flash-right, it might be over for AJ.
That being said there's just as good a chance that AJ will outbox Wilder into a great combo or right hook or one of AJ's uppercuts which will wobble Wilder like Ortiz wobbled him. The difference is though AJ is not 54 years old like Ortiz. If AJ gets Wilder wobbly, he'll pounce on him immediately and Wilder won't have the weight or power to clinch onto AJ. Dillian Whyte tried that but we saw what happened to him. If Wilder gets wobbly, he's finished.
This is a 55/45 fight. 55% for Joshua, 45% for Wilder.
I am honestly starting to believe this fight will never be made. Let's not pretend like Tyson-Holyfield didn't take 5 years to make. Let's not pretend like Tyson-Lewis didn't come 12 years too late. I don't think Eddie is going to risk AJ being stopped and have his belts taken away. Because of AJ loses the only man who can beat Wilder is Tyson Fury and he is signed to allegedly, not Eddie. Eddie is scared of this fight. It makes much more sense for him, especially now with his DAZN deal to let AJ be a cash cow and use the big UK scene to create a gigantic elite promotional company with DAZN.
What's Wilder's problem with that? Will travel for Audley but won't for Joshua?
Joshua hasn't travelled for anyone. He's always had every advantage.
But you think that's ok because he is the "a side".
You're too biased on this subject to see another point of view
I don't think he's the A side. He is the A side.
If you had an argument to suggest anyone else was you would have made it.
I think you should read my post again. That's what I said.
You think it's OK for Joshua to fight every fight at home with all the advantages even if more money is available to fight elsewhere. You contradict your own arguments.

Yes, I do. I think if any fighter is the A side they should use that advantage regardless of money. If Joshua could make 20m fighting in London or 30m fighting in Azerbaijan for someone he's every right to say he'd prefer home advantage.
Shouldn’t he take advantage of being the A side by going where the money is? Wlad went to Russia for big bucks for Povetkin. Wilder was prepared to. You go where the money is.

And Fury went to Germany where Klitschko had all the advantages, on top of that tried to take liberties with the ring floor etc and still came away with the win. Yet Dirk gives him no credit whatsoever.
But Anthony can do what he likes and can do no wrong......
