I still have Canelo as the most challenging fight for GGG from the entire mw division. Not mentioning about the money and status.

Not really sure. The Jacobs fight was a lot closer (7-5 or 6-6 with the KD being the difference). Saunders presents a different stylistic challenge. I thought Golovkin won at least 8 rounds in the first fight with Canelo - competitive, yes, but clear too.

The only way I see a rematch being different, is if age catches up with Golovkin, and if that's the case I'd see Jacobs and Saunders beating him more convincingly.

Saunders isn't willing to challenge himself and he's keeping that title hostage.

Boxing needs this fight, though. Just one of those superstar fights that surpass titles and rankings. GGG didn't do it convincingly enough, so we'll see it again. Brilliant match by the way. I had butterflies in my stomach throughout. This is something boxing needs.

I wouldn't pick him to do so, but chances are high that if he didn't get knocked out by Danny he'd get the win whether he deserved it or not.

It can also be different if being off PEDs for a few months affects Canelo.

Yeah probably not, but he could outbox him I think.

I think in the their fight GGG tried to pin down Alvarez with constant pressure as best he could while playing it safe defensively. Alvarez did an excellent job countering GGG with hard accurate shots, while playing it safe defensively. What neither of them did (IMO) is go balls to the walls for a KO. This is evident by the lack of combinations that were more than 2 or 3 consecutive punches on both sides. Alvarez had his flurries but they were somewhat meaningless. Even when they did connect with 2 hard shots in a row rarely if ever did either man follow up. At 2:27 of the 10th is when Alvarez, IMO, should have went on the attack. He nailed GGG with a right hand and left hook and then GGG missed with a looping right and stumbled. But where was Alvarez? He was twiddling his gloves thinking about the 2 punches he just landed instead of taking advantage of his best opening of the fight, like he did all night.

I think both these guys owe it to the fans for at least one of them to do what neither would in the first fight. I wanna see it !

It would not happen. Jacobs is not the same fighter after he fought GGG.

Charlo vs GGG is the best fight to make IMO. I see both guys struggling to finish the fight.

I have zero interest in the fight, other than knowing whether GGG keeps the titles or not and whether it ends in a robbery. I already saw the first fight, and I bet the second one does lower sales. I'm much more interested in the unifications in London and Tokyo.

Jermall - D.J fight winner would definitely deserve a shot to the mw king. :TU:
