fury talks so much junk, when he says hed do this and that on the same night why take it seriously, hes been such a wreck the last almsot 3 years i dont mind this even though ya the opponent sucks. doesnt matter to me what hes said because i dont take it seriously and cant believe that anyone would. its just no value nonsense that gets spouted all the time by boxers.

Zouski being GF's 1st opponent after his 10 year layoff.
Why are they even comparing the two?

Foreman was out for a decade & came back in his 39th year., so was basically starting from scratch again.

Fury has been out 2.5 years & is still a young man that isn't even 30 years old.

He is just resuming his career, so be shouldn't be scraping the barrel to the same degree.

Also, bear in mind that modern top line fighters fight so infrequently, that 2.5 years off is not actually that bad these days.

In actuality, he's probably missed 3 - 4 fights had he been defending his title, instead of lying idle.

Fury was doing coke and alcohol. GF was doing cheeseburgers.

It's his first fight back and doesn't really matter. The next two or three are much more important.

I would accept Briggs, it might be a lucrative spectacle, but after him, Fury would have to face a top 10 fighter.

Or just protecting a valuable commodity for the old maximum reward, minimum risk.

I would not expect them to be as good as Briggs or Tarver if they are 2018 fights.

Nah, he's being handled 'smartly.' This fight will tell them what level of competition next as they'll see exactly what they have there.

Why not? It's a good step up after Seferi and will make Fury mandatory.

Adamek or Dimitrenko would've been perfect for his return fight, both are ranked top 15 by BoxRec and he'd be a big favourite against either.

And Adamek is over 40, which places him in the age demographic that Fury seems to favor.

That's true.

It wouldn't surprise me if he called out Herbie Hide next.

There's no party to poop.

The matchup is utter shyte & Fury & the fans won't learn a thing from it.

After all his talk, I thought he'd have a bit more confidence in himself to start back a bit higher up the ladder.

Agreed. Fury was waxing lyrical about Manuel Charr's amazing triumph over adversity and really bigging him up.

How cynical of me to think that was his part in promoting a forthcoming fight :D
