And also the biggest name in your bedroom. You're obsessed with the man!
But in other cases the fight goes to where the money is. Your hero named his price but now he's looking for a way out.
He'll be remembered as the Sven Ottke of the heavyweights unless he fights a live opponent under the age of 41.
I could say I have $50 million but it doesn't mean I have it though.
You're too easily fooled by empty promises.

Al Haymon never actually mentioned any money, did he? I can't recall him ever speaking on this alleged deal but I could be wrong.
What did Haymon say Mickey?

Must have said something to Eddie, he seems pretty sure it’s legit. You should really know Haymon doesn’t speak or even get seen in public if you’re on a boxing forum.... you need to step up #letsroll

And I recall Hearn was going to a meeting with Haymons people but they backed out.
So what details did your boy Haymon give out about the fight money?

Hearn has already said the deal and money is there in the US. He also said they'll take less money to bring it over here to "reward" Joshua's fans for their loyalty and to ensure they can see the fight. They basically don't want it just yet, from what I can gather.

I've heard him say he was waiting for details. I could have missed updates though.

Do you have any more info or just more idle chatter?
Re: AJ v Wilder set for America?
The money is there in the sense that we know the people dealing with Wilder have that sort of money. But that's not really different to saying Bill Gates could stump up a billion to host the fight in his garden for his exclusive audience. He could - but if there's no contract, or communication, or even evidence of him saying it, and actually the only person who's mentioned it is Deontay Wilder, then on what basis should you believe it?

If there is more information since the initial Wilder video I'd love to see it.
As I said before, I think Joshua should have the 1st fight in the States but this alleged $50 deal is just bluster without any more info.
Re: AJ v Wilder set for America?
It's an odd angle which some have latched onto along the lines of despite Joshua progressing very quickly he's suddenly realised he's terrified of Wilder and is desperate to avoid him.Taansend wrote: ↑24 May 2018, 12:41That's basically it.dirk2686 wrote: ↑24 May 2018, 12:31 The money is there in the sense that we know the people dealing with Wilder have that sort of money. I mean, in Joshua's 21st fight he was adding the WBO title to the others he had, and had already stopped Klitschko as well as a fair few contender level opponents. At the same stage Fury was getting sat on his backside by Steve Cunningham and his best win was unquestionably Dereck Chisora. Wilder was fighting 23-10 lost his last five Marlon Hayes and probably hadn't fought anyone much better than Damon Reed.

I just want to see the fight. I don't care whether it's in England, America or Nigeria.
I am not blaming Joshua, Wilder, Hearn or Haymon for it not being signed so far. I'm sure there's stuff going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.
It does amuse me that people brought into the video gimmick from Wilder. But it doesn't have much to do with the actual negotiations,.

All I know is Wilder made the offer, Hearn was going to meet Finkel but Finkel backed out.
Haven't heard anything concrete since except the occasional "talks are ongoing".
I'm not blaming either side but I will ask those who are for proof.
Re: AJ v Wilder set for America?
Hearn is on the radio, IFL all the time. He said he'd spoke with Haymon, it was genuine and it was now up to Joshua to decide. I posted at the time it was time to "Man up" or swerve, which you declared was pathetic.Taansend wrote: ↑24 May 2018, 11:32I'm guessing that's a No, Mickey.

Joshua had an extensive paid amateur career. Fury won the world title (a genuine one) at a younger age. He wasn't scared to go in the champion's backyard.

Fury wasn't a bad amateur either representing England, narrowly missing out on the GB spot that went to price.BigDoofus wrote: ↑25 May 2018, 02:57You just keep repeating the same fan-boy mantra.dirk2686 wrote: ↑24 May 2018, 12:53 I mean, in Joshua's 21st fight he was adding the WBO title to the others he had, and had already stopped Klitschko as well as a fair few contender level opponents. Fury has been boxing all his life, AJ started at 18. So you could say that fury is the better schooled boxer.
Plus fury was the challenger to the man who held 3 of 4 major belts.
Now wilder is the challenger to the man who is holding 3 of the 4 major belts.

fury, wilder, and aj all had around 40 am fights i believe
