Brian Nielsen Incomplete?

Post by ervierto »

I was wondering why Brian Nielsen now appears as incomplete. It seems as though everyone agrees that he was 62-1 going into the Tyson fight. And it seems as though both fights after the Tyson fight were included, so why is he incomplete? Just curious. I also wondered what the process is to determine whether a fighter's record is, in fact, complete. I noticed at least one fighter who is listed as complete with only one fight. That seemed strange to me.

If the guy only fought once that would make the record complete. Nothing strange about that.

That's fine, but, what about Nielsen? And, are there any particular criteria that determine whether a fighter is complete or not?

At this point, when a boxer is still considered active, (has fought within 365 days), you will see an "A" after the boxer's name. In Brian's particular case, he just recently "went over" the 365 day mark. Unless an editor (manually) changes a boxer's status, he will automatically get the "I" designation after 365 days. I guess no editor has gotten to change it to a "complete" yet, and that is probably because Brian is scheduled to return to action very soon.

At least this is the way I understand how it works. :-?
