I don't think there are enough words you can say really but I personally know many people who will be in mourning now.

RIP Brendan, you did so so much for the sport, but not just that also the young kids around wincobank and gave a lot of them some hope and a chance to get away from the horrible road they could have gone down.

Sad news.

When you think of the comittment Brendan showed to boxing it takes some doing.
Every night helping kids and pros in his gym;
driving to shows all over the country; keeping his enthusiasm after setbacks and fighters leaving him - full credit to him.

I hope Naz and Brendan made up...

Proved that big time boxing and fighters did not need operate in London, Manchester or Glasgow..........for a while he made Sheffield a powerhouse that produced unique, successful and world-class fighters. A massive achievement.

In a lot of ways ingle changed he way boxing was thought of in this country. He taught boxing. To hit and not be hit. That is an art that takes more time and ability than to turn up for a tear up.

Its very sad and if there were more people like mr ingle there would be more world champs in this country.

An absolute MASTER who could and should be talked about in the same breath as Ray Arcel, Angelo Dundee, Cus D’Amato, Jack Blackburn, Georgie Benton, Manny Steward and Eddie Futch.

The great ‘What If?’ with Naz. I’m certain in my opinion that if Naseem has stayed with Ingle and avoided the ‘yes’ men we would be talking about one of the greatest ever fighters in history. But what he did with Nelson was just as extraordinary. And the first diamond he cut too in Bomber Graham.
