Whatever happened to former 1985-87 USA/ABF ranked Tyrone Ingram?
fought out of Oakland and Hayward, California. King's Gym and Aztlan B.C. respectively.
Record: 96-7
This guy was phonomenal. ..rarely lost
was never down or ko'd
Beat Michael Nunn, David Tua, Bomani Parker, Sieoni Asipeli among others
Why we never hear about these unsung heroes of San Francisco Oakland California Boxing (amateur or professional)
..would like to hear more about our past Amateur Boxing heroes just the same as many attempted to fight their way out of poverty and into Boxing's Hall of Fame

Re: Whatever happened to former 1985-87 USA/ABF ranked Tyrone Ingram?
There's also an MMA boxing coach called Tyrone Ingram from Michigan who had 48 amateur fights at 139lbs, and went on to fight as a pro at welterweight. This is the same Tyrone Ingram on boxrec you posted the link to.
However the original poster said the Tyrone Ingram he is talking about was from California, which is thousands of miles from Michigan. He apparently had a 96-7 record and judging by the guys he allegedly beat he was much heavier than 139lbs, Nunn (MW), Tua (HW), Parker (HW) and Asipeli (CW).
The youtube video calls him S Tyrone Ingram. There is someone on social media called S Tyrone Ingram also from California, he's a reggae artist using the name Lord Oonka Symeon. There is one photo of him wearing boxing gloves, as an older man, advertising himself as a boxing trainer claiming he had a 97-7 (38KO) amateur record. Also claims he was a former alternate member of the 1984 and 1988 US Olympic Boxing Team, two time western US champion, ranked 7th US ABF and 6 time Golden Gloves champion. Someone commented on the photo that Ingram was the LHW champ at Hayward Aztlan Boxing Club. There is also a comment that he lost by DQ against Razz Chapin (CW). Ingram claims he knocked out Armando Alvarez (HW). Strange he talks about those fights but doesn’t mention beating Michael Nunn or David Tua !!
Considering he claims so much success in the ring, allegedly beat a future two weight world champ (Nunn), another who was a HW title challenger (Tua) and came close to being in two US Olympic boxing teams, I'm surprised there aren't more photos or articles about him, even on his own social media pages.

Ingram was more of a musician and a music-lover than a boxer. After an out-of-the-ring head injury, the death of his father and his son and his wife, Ingram retired from boxing completely and later became homeless and lost all that he owned and also had bouts of depression and drug use but later recovered and founded The SEEN Music Series (The SEEN Festival) today at 59 years old , he has 2 daughters, is a respected businessman and a music producer and recording artist and is still going strong for the past 25 years producing The SEEN Festival; an annual international world reggae soul music event since 1996 ...and stays far away from boxing
