The next opponent for Tyson Fury (after Seferi) ?
The next opponent for Tyson Fury (after Seferi) ?
What do you predict ?
I don't consider BoxRec ranking list as a perfect, but I don't know for the better one.

Re: The next opponent for Tyson Fury (after Seferi) ?
..if he intends to prove something to someone, should go after the best..
Re: The next opponent for Tyson Fury (after Seferi) ?
Well, ideally we should see his upcoming fight first to judge. But his opponent probably won't push him close to the limit. Anyway, as I remember, he planned about 4 fights before challenging his lost belts, so next step can be against someone of top-20 range, not top-10 yet.

I have no idea who's next.
But hopefully it will be someone who isn't 5'11" 195 lbs.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he has to settle for a decision against Seferi.

Re: The next opponent for Tyson Fury (after Seferi) ?
Fury says that the best thing that could happen was if he won a split decision, because it would mean he "was pushed a little bit."
He also worries that "a chin is a chin, and if he hits me on mine, I'm going over, clearly."
Obviously Fury is trying his damndest to make Seferi seem like a capable opponent.
If Fury considered Seferi any sort of a threat, he would be telling the world what a bum he is.
Re: The next opponent for Tyson Fury (after Seferi) ?
A lot will depend on how he looks vs Seferi.
If he looks decent and stops him with relative ease, I think Warren will have little choice but to find a decent opponent next like Kabayel or Takam.
But if he looks like crap and labours to a points win then we will probably see him in with someone just as poor.
Fury vs Zumbano Love, anyone?

Pretty sure Warren has already said the next one will be a similar level to this...

Someone top 30 like Adamek.
Seferi
Adamek
Winner of Charr vs Oquendo
Is my prediction. I definitely think he's got his eye on Charr`s trinket.

So how enticing can the lightly regarded Charr's dubious belt be to Fury?

Plus he knows a World Title fight, even for a trinket, will attract more casual viewers.
Fury vs Kabayel- few will care
Fury vs Kabayel for a "world title" would attract more interest from the casual fans.

Re: The next opponent for Tyson Fury (after Seferi) ?
Tyson Fury says he wants to have four to five fights during 2018 and he doesn't care whether he tops the bill for any of the fight cards he competes on.
Therefore, Tyson will inevitably face another "Seferi-type" opponent after he demolishes "Segeri, probably as soon as July.
The training camps and competing regularly are the main priorities at the moment.
He needs to regularly face a string of cab drivers to rid himself of his ring rust and regain his optimal fitness levels prior to gradually increasing the calibre of opposition.
He doesn't want to repeat the same sort of mistakes made by Larry Holmes and David Haye made when they made their ring returns after a prolonged period of inactivity.

probably some bum
I hate fury as a person but I still regard him as the linear champ
all the champs have made dodgy defences now and then (Louis, Holmes etc)

Re: The next opponent for Tyson Fury (after Seferi) ?
Bloody hell, 3 years of doing fcuk all, and you still consider him the linear champ?
It seems that Fury is set to take 4-5 gimme fights, which I don't mind if they're regular. I voted for a top 30 fighter in his next fight, which can still be a freebie is selected right. But as I said, I don't mind a few cab fighters as long as their in quick succession. I don't want to be waiting a further 6 months for the next time he steps in the ring.

He will stay away from anyone dangerous for the next few fights I would imagine. I have had a look at the rankings and there are plenty to choose from that have padded decent records from Eastern Europe. One thing for sure he wont face some one like Joe Joyce who would proberly knock him out.

Joe Joyce is overrated. He looked terrible during his most recent outing.Mimmy wrote: ↑31 May 2018, 09:50 He will stay away from anyone dangerous for the next few fights I would imagine. He's getting fast-tracked, because of his age, but he definitely lacks Lomachenko-esque type of skills to justify the sort of moronic hype he's received.
Fury beats Joyce with ease!

I wonder why Team fury dont think that way. Why not face Joyce instead of Seferi? Would make 'the world' sit up with excitement if that happened, Fury knocking him out with ease.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑31 May 2018, 10:44Joe Joyce is overrated. It wont happen though will it? Even Hughie has said he wont fight him either.
Re: The next opponent for Tyson Fury (after Seferi) ?
Depends on whether he's topping the bill or not?
On another undercard, someone like Dimitrenko or Helenius.
If they want to make some excitement in the build up have him fight David Price then Tony Bellew.

Maybe.
Perhaps I underestimate how attractive belts seem to be to fighters of this era, even pretty much worthless belts like Charr's.
But it appears Charr and Oquendo will be tied up in negotiations for the next decade or so, giving Fury (or anyone else) little opportunity to squeeze in for a WBA regular title shot.

David Haye won't attempt to make a fight between Joyce and Tyson Fury, so you've raised a moot point.Mimmy wrote: ↑31 May 2018, 11:03I wonder why Team fury dont think that way. If Fury fancied his chances, even knowing a fight wouldnt be made he would be shouting his mouth off, Christ hes shouted it off about almost everyone else.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑31 May 2018, 12:41David Haye won't attempt to make a fight between Joyce and Tyson Fury, so you've raised a moot point.Mimmy wrote: ↑31 May 2018, 11:03I wonder why Team fury dont think that way. I just think if Fury looks good people will be calling for him to fight someone decent and if they keep giving him soft touches all the good will he has garnered of late will turn into resentment and that may effect ticket sales.
