I wasn't that interested in the fight but I'm a bit gutted for Martin.

Say what you want about him not deserving a title fight but he is one of the better guys in the sport who has made the best out of what he has.

He will have now wasted months on a training camp being f*cked over twice.

Is Saunders injured ? Doubt it....

Yet again another FW cancelled show now twice in the space of a couple of months Saunders has a fight cancelled.

Saunders is a prick; overrated dickhead. I hope GGG bangs his head off. I’d travel to the US to see that.

I feel for Murray, who seems like a good egg. Not sure whose available for Murray though.

This is really poor.

Why is this being announced by Murray?! Surely a statement should have come out from FW before Murray announces it?

It does make you wonder if there’s something else going on. Tickets were selling poorly and GGG and Canelo are looking for opponents. Hmmm

Tbh i thought it was a good idea for Billy Joe Saunders when he was first "injured" to look for bigger fights as Canelo & GGG fell through...

but by the looks of things i can't see GGG facing Billy Joe Saunders as there is more money fighting Ryota Murata and it is a lot easier of a payday for GGG though WBC has ordered GGG to either face Canelo or Charlo.

So if Billy Joe Saunders does face Canelo in September then that would tie him up and only leave Charlo free so the which i would prefer to see him face Daniel Jacobs for an final eliminator or if not i feel they will just pay him to step aside for the moment.

But all in all the elite middle weight scene is a mess right now... fights are constantly cancelled or rescheduled when all we want is to see them fight, i really hope these fights happen soon.

FW just made an announce as well as Billy Joe Saunders...

Can't see why people ain't interested in the fight. Murray has got a decent skill set and would be more of a test than 95% of Saunders past opponents. Shame for Murray and this does seem a bit pony from Saunders.

No offence to Murray, but he hasn’t managed a single win every time he’s stepped up to world level. He’s definitely better than 95% of Saunders’ previous opponents, but he’s pretty uninspiring to watch and people were just hoping that Saunders would kick on properly after the Lemieux fight.

Adding to face his fighters are losing momentum - if the show is cancelled Yarde/Dubois will have went 6 months nearly without fighting. He’s hardly had any shows in 1st half of year.

I think they’ll still go ahead with the card for that reason - giving Yarde/Dubois and others fights. Could Fury fight again 2 weeks after Seferi?

I still find it poor that we hear it first from Murray. An hour before Murray’s insta post, BJS was calling out GGG on Twitter.

That’s a fact as well.

I was interested in this fight I do have a soft spot for Murray though. Pretty harsh considering the graft he’s put in with Fielding/Frampton/Cummings twice In Tenerife twice but unfortunately how boxing is. It’s definitely Canelo or GGG for BJS i feel it will likely be Canelo for some reason.

Must have cost Murray a lot of cash this. Wouldn't blame him if he moves on to other things.

I'd like to see a bigger fight after he recovers. The thing is, injury can be serious enough and he will chose lower class opposition after recovering. Maybe it all is somehow fixed and staged to make Canelo fight as soon as possible, cause Canelo's team is likely to fail negotiations with Golovkin's team.

Frank’s tweet says “A full statement on the show will be made tomorrow” - probably means it’s going to be cancelled.

He’ll need to try and add a show in July if they cancel to keep Dubois/Yarde/Davies etc active before usual 6-7 week break until September.

That will have cost Frank plenty having booked the o2 twice as well.

Poor Murray. Wasted half a year and loads of money at the tail end of his career.

Wonder who Saunders has got, Canelo or Golovkin?

It will also be be costing the O2 quite a bit of £ if the show’s cancelled. Yes - they’ll be getting an upfront fee but it could now be 2 saturday nights where the arena’s been empty this year due to FW having to cancel shows, and they’re not getting their £12 for a burger!

I am not sure how many options he has?

Although I wasn’t interested in the fight, it is a pisser for Murray.

It will be interesting to see if any medical proof of injury is released.

Given how frequently these things happen, the boxer should take out some kind of insurance policy if only to cover their training expenses.

I think an insurance policy would be out of the question as like you say, these cancellations are very common so you would end up paying more for the insurance than the fight is worth.

Because my granny could tell you how the fight would go and that BJS would win a decision. Its hard to be interested in Murray. He puts in the same nearly man performance when he steps up
